Didn't see this till now....didn't receive notification.

Its Genuine. The pictures were taken when it was being prepped for paint....look at pictures closely.

Had a deal going with one of the guys on here...The Bar plus new set of Genuine Xenon lights for R33 GTR...$3000....cheap buy for him...but he never replied...maybe due to your uninformed comment on this tread because I have not advertised it for sale yet! But no drama...a question is a question

cheers Phillip

Your joking about $3000 being cheap right? A brand new genuine set of 33 GTR headlights is $1300 and brand new nismo front bar is 1900, so your saying second hand for $200 less is cheap? And I bet it could be found cheaper if I looked abit harder, anyone in their right mind would buy good quality used for a huge amount less.

And before you say it yes it is second hand, the moment it leaves the shop into a private owners hands it is second hand used or not.

Please don't blame me for your sale falling thru, your pricing killed it not my question.

Just saw the thread you linked me to was 4 years old..... Come on man get real the prices has dropped massively since then.

Your a strange one mungy...one minute u are questioning whether the Bar is genuine or not...then u are quoting a new one at $1900....then u are posting the RHD site which has it on special before delivery to Australia at $2039!

Yes....It's on special at the moment at RHD in Japan for just over $2039, but you will have to wait build time and would have to pay for shipping, Duties and taxes when it arrived in Australia and hope it doesn't get damaged.....the one I have is better than new....prepped and never been on the car and it's currently in Brisbane in the large NISMO box....yes the items are secondhand, I've been oversea for nearly 4 years now and all my parts have been in storage.

On top of the Bar thing...I know for a fact u cannot purchase genuine series 3 R33 GTR headlight complete with ballast etc and still sealed in the box, for only $1200...care to send me a PM as to where u think u can get them or are they in Japan as well??????

$3000 here in Australia is very cheap for both items

cheers Phillip

I think you are mixed up with the standard series 1 and 2 GTR lights. They are $1300 for the set, but he has series 3 lights (factory projector and Xenon) Nissan are charging $2000ea! new for series 3 lights.

you all need to put down the crack pipes and look up prices before quoting them.

Firstly the RDH site is not 2039 its 1917.94 to be exact according to TODAYS exchange rate,

and secondly no one mentioned xenon series 3 lights

You keep flaming me and need to read my original tread and how this started...u should apologize, but u are the type regardless of fact will never say U were wrong....lol

Another fact...u don't know how to use RHD's site...try changing the currency within their site to Australian AUD it is now $2029.39 plus u will have to wait and pay delivery cost, taxes etc for a very large box.

but more importantly quoting ebay prices on a well used one off R33 headlight (len scratched with paint pealing) from an international person from KL who is shipping to US and Canada at a cost and Australia is excluded from that shipping price...you keep making me laugh, they don't compare (even in price after shipping etc) and its obvious to me that u haven't been ripped off enough to realize that international Ebay purchases are not the way to go for many reasons....u shouldn't rely on EBAY as your place to purchase.

Very happy to put whatever 2 lights u come up with...at whatever price u eventually pay and put them next to my 2, which are still in their original boxes and I will guaranty you will be disappointed with your over priced items....even if I was selling my lights alone at $2000 (and by the way 2K is just a figure, the deal was bar and lights at 3k) they would be cheaper than your one of at a time purchases, if you ever receive them from the seller? It would be better if u took advice about international ebay purchases than to be disappointed in getting burned.

just stop making the ill informed comments...I put forward the NISMO 400R as an option....very simple...whether it was suitable or not, u put forward an option which I didn't Flame

Ya your 100% correct, everyone gets ripped off on eBay, no one ever receives their item from international purchases, guess what your headlights were made overseas and so was that front bar, the headlights I bought were in a shed for the last 10 years so I guarantee they are going to look identical to yours.

Edit

And the eBay link I put up was an example, and if you know nothing about getting an item from overseas here don't post comments about how you can't get it to AUS. And I didn't flame your option, it was a genuine question as to y it didn't look like a genuine item, all you had to do is respond and say yes it's genuine it was getting ready for pain, but no you rambled on about how I might have cost you a sale for some items that you think were cheap but in reality are expensive and more likely to be the reason they didn't sell, then sent me a link to a 4 year old post trying to prove the bar was expensive, pull your head in mate.

ITS LIKE TALKING TO A PIECE OF WOOD...I CAN SAY WHATEVER I LIKE, BUT NOTHING WILL EVER BE UNDERSTOOD BY U....LOL

But just so others reading your comments can have a laugh too...

YES MOST OF US DRIVE IMPORTS....HAHAHAHA....really...a simple explanation just for you...there is a mile of difference between buying from an international EBAY seller and judging from your attitude and comments, your business for that matter, than from a reputable firm, manufacturer or business. I KNOW OTHERS UNDERSTAND.

U have done your business a lot of justice...keep running off at the mouth as much as u like....I will not waste any more of my time on a fool like u.

Sorry "Buddy" just accept this as a BUMP and a bonus your tread is hot for a laugh....hope u find what u need.

cheers Phil

    • Even with the piston at TDC there was room for it to drop, but I don't think it can drop fully into the cylinder, the problem you have is that you need something pushing against the valve to hold it up so you have enough room to put the new stem seal on and the spring etc.  I used compressed air only because putting rope in the cylinder seemed a bit risky to me, I know people have done it countless times before like this. Overall it's a pain in the ass job. Honestly you'd probably be better off taking the head off because the risk of dropping something in the engine and the finicky-ness of it all is very stressful. If you are going to attempt it though i 10000% recommend a 36050 valve spring/keeper tool. I had both the traditional lever type and after doing 1 cylinder it was absolute pain to get those valve keepers in place, even with 2 people. That 36050 is amazing, you do have to push hard to get them in place but it works perfectly almost every time. Back to my actual issue I think my engine is just tired and old and the rings have gone bad. The comp numbers (cold, no oil) were: Cyl 1 -129psi Cyl 2 - 133psi Cyl 3 - 138psi Cyl 4 - 137psi Cyl 5 - 157psi Cyl 6 - 142psi   Cylinder 5 and 6 having the most carbon on them.
    • Who did you have do the installation? I actually know someone who is VERY familiar with the AVS gear. The main point of contact though would be your installer.   Where are you based in NZ?
    • Look, realistically, those are some fairly chunky connectors and wires so it is a reasonably fair bet that that loom was involved in the redirection of the fuel pump and/or ECU/ignition power for the immobiliser. It's also fair to be that the new immobiliser is essentially the same thing as the old one, and so it probably needs the same stuff done to make it do what it has to do. Given that you are talking about a car that no-one else here is familiar with (I mean your exact car) and an alarm that I've never heard of before and so probably not many others are familiar with, and that some wire monkey has been messing with it out of our sight, it seems reasonable that the wire monkey should be fixing this.
    • Wheel alignment immediately. Not "when I get around to it". And further to what Duncan said - you cannot just put camber arms on and shorten them. You will introduce bump steer far in excess of what the car had with stock arms. You need adjustable tension arms and they need to be shortened also. The simplest approach is to shorten them the same % as the stock ones. This will not be correct or optimal, but it will be better than any other guess. The correct way to set the lengths of both arms is to use a properly built/set up bump steer gauge and trial and error the adjustments until you hit the camber you need and want and have minimum bump steer in the range of motion that the wheel is expected to travel. And what Duncan said about toe is also very true. And you cannot change the camber arm without also affecting toe. So when you have adjustable arms on the back of a Skyline, the car either needs to go to a talented wheel aligner (not your local tyre shop dropout), or you need to be able to do this stuff yourself at home. Guess which approach I have taken? I have built my own gear for camber, toe and bump steer measurement and I do all this on the flattest bit of concrete I have, with some shims under the tyres on one side to level the car.
    • Thought I would get some advice from others on this situation.    Relevant info: R33 GTS25t Link G4x ECU Walbro 255LPH w/ OEM FP Relay (No relay mod) Scenario: I accidentally messed up my old AVS S5 (rev.1) at the start of the year and the cars been immobilised. Also the siren BBU has completely failed; so I decided to upgrade it.  I got a newer AVS S5 (rev.2?) installed on Friday. The guy removed the old one and its immobilisers. Tried to start it; the car cranks but doesnt start.  The new one was installed and all the alarm functions seem to be working as they should; still wouldn't start Went to bed; got up on Friday morning and decided to have a look into the no start problem. Found the car completely dead.  Charged the battery; plugged it back in and found the brake lights were stuck on.  Unplugging the brake pedal switch the lights turn off. Plug it back in and theyre stuck on again. I tested the switch (continuity test and resistance); all looks good (0-1kohm).  On talking to AVS; found its because of the rubber stopper on the brake pedal; sure enough the middle of it is missing so have ordered a new one. One of those wear items; which was confusing what was going on However when I try unplugging the STOP Light fuses (under the dash and under the hood) the brake light still stays on. Should those fuses not cut the brake light circuit?  I then checked the ECU; FP Speed Error.  Testing the pump again; I can hear the relay clicking every time I switch it to ON. I unplugged the pump and put the multimeter across the plug. No continuity; im seeing 0.6V (ECU signal?) and when it switches the relay I think its like 20mA or 200mA). Not seeing 12.4V / 7-9A. As far as I know; the Fuel Pump was wired through one of the immobiliser relays on the old alarm.  He pulled some thick gauged harness out with the old alarm wiring; which looks to me like it was to bridge connections into the immobilisers? Before it got immobilised it was running just fine.  Im at a loss to why the FP is getting no voltage; I thought maybe the FP was faulty (even though I havent even done 50km on the new pump) but no voltage at the harness plug.  Questions: Could it be he didnt reconnect the fuel pump when testing it after the old alarm removal (before installing the new alarm)?  Is this a case of bridging to the brake lights instead of the fuel pump circuit? It's a bit beyond me as I dont do a lot with electrical; so have tried my best to diagnose what I think seems to make sense.  Seeking advice if theres for sure an issue with the alarm install to get him back here; or if I do infact, need an auto electrician to diagnose it.
