hey guys

i am contemplating whether i should get rid of the skyline and upgrade to a nissan murano as the family is growing.. so i just want to try and see how much interest and how much i can get for it. im hoping of getting around the $13.5K. so give me a offer.

i thought i'd post it up here first so all the V-series enthusiast can have a chance before i advertise to general public on carsales.

the car has been a wonder to drive. it has always made me smile when i put my foot down. and smooth when needed for just normal daily driving. the car has always been well kept, washed every 2nd week, well looked after and always serviced on time. and for the guys that are always negative about the cvt, dont worry its has been serviced 10000KM ago. it drives perfectly silky smooth!

those who have seen the car will vouch for me.

here's the details

Make: NIssan

Model: Skyline V35 350GT-8

Year: 2003

Transmission: CVT 8-Speed

Color: Midnight Blue

Rego: Just under 5 months

here's the list of goodies.

-custom exhaust system with VIP styled exhaust tips

-blox intake manifold spacer

-dynamics throttle body spacer

-pop charger with z-tube

brakes/supsension/wheeks

-tein coilovers (driving master spec - to get the VIP ride height and have the comfort available still)

-project mu disc rotors (front and rear)

-qfm brake pads (front and rear)

-genuine sparco 18x8.5 18x9.5

exterior

-nismo lip kit

-bootlid ducktail

-series 2 front bar

-series 2 boot lid

-series 2 outter tail lights

-10000K hid globes

-yellow jdm foglight/hi beam globes

-led number plate light

-led park lights

interior

-diy aux cable

-reverse camera integrated into factory screen

-translated factory screen

-tv tuner

-led cabin lights all around

-led front door courtesy lights

i may have left a few things out. but all in all the car drives well and is perfect. the only blemishes are a few little dings here and there from the age of the car. other than that it would be one of the best v35 sedans around.

pics will be up later.

PM if u have offers or enquiries.

cheers

jo

Thats a WALD bootlip you have aswell.

This is a great car peeps, well looked after and looks great in the flesh!!

A decent good condition GT-8 is hard to come by.

Good luck with sale mate!

There are a bunch of them on car sales at the moment.. But yours seems to have a lot of extras which makes your asking price quite reasonable.

I think it is the repair costs of the CVT 'IF',something goes wrong that scares people.

Good luck!!

yea u are right about the cvt repair cost. but i seriously think that was a thing of the past. when these cars first came to australia, no body knew anything about these transmissions.. u would call the dealer up and they would tell you just to use ordinary transmission oil. but now alot of mechanics have caught on. so in saying that i seriously believe the main reason why these gear box were failing was because of lack of service because nobody knew what to do back then. now days servicing them is a breeze, that is if your mechanic is switched on and knows what going on.

Sure. Serving is easy as long as you use the right fluid (which is quite expensive). But if something goes wrong, you will still struggle to find someone willing to crack them open.

But as a transmission, I don't think they are inherently unreliable compared to standard autos.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
