Hey everybody.

Sorry for the noob first post and i hope it is in the right section also.

Anyway, i have an r33 s2 rb25det. The problem is that i think the actuator is off a stegea (according to previous owner). Which runs 7psi, now i notice that it holds 7psi steady but then creeps up to 10-11. So im thinking could this be the two stage factory boost raising the pressure.

So my question is what can i do so the ecu wont raise the pressure and it runs 7psi till the red line. Can i just unplug something?

The reason i ask is the car is factory standard, aside from fmic, 3" turbo back and hks air filter. So when the boost creeps up high it stops pulling hard and feels 'soft'. I figure because the ecu goes retard/rich map as per factory parameters as it hasnt been tuned at all.

Thanks guys

You could plumb the wastegate directly and remove the solenoid all together.

Look at the wastegate, the hose goes to the solenoid then to the pressure source. Join them together without the solenoid, then you will run wastegate pressure.

I tried that yesterday, i hooked it up to a feed off the throttle body to the actuator. This is the same setup as my mates cefiro which runs and rb25det on factory boost.

Next up to try is im swapping his actuator onto my car as his holds a steady 7psi to the redline.
