Hey guys,

I know this might not be the right place to post this but, I have organised a cruise to Mt Panorama on the 24th May for Stageas only. This is the link to the Facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/704000399639080/?ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming

We will be meeting at Penrith Panthers Car Park at round 0800, this should give us enough time to hand out the maps and such before we depart at 0900. We can discuss which way everyone wants to travel in the morning, Ill have maps for both ways, the most direct route and for Bells Line if people are interested.

We will hopefully have a photographer in the car on the cruise taking photos, and for photos at the Mountain.

Hopefully we can have a whole bunch of us just cruise up, have some fun and an awesome day out :-)

If the people that are interested could click on the Facebook event that they are coming so we have some idea of numbers that would be great :-)

Thanks guys

Brendan

The most direct route being up GWH?

It is littered with roadworks, 40kay zones etc. Weekend will make it shite. Out through Agnes banks, up Bell's line is the only enjoyable option currently.

Even if you decide to cut across the darling causeway & down Mt Vic pass, that's still a better option than the Highway atm.

Will you be attending Daleo ?? If so maybe you can give me a hand with that route and mapping it on Google Maps ?

Hey Brendan, I can do the first few legs, but I'll probably have dip out around Mt Vic, or a little further.

I'll put a couple of options together tonight, and put them on the FB thread. If they look good; by all means use them.

I was out at Bathurst on my bike a week ago; mates & I found a really good route.

You've also given us just over a weeks notice. Hope you don't expect a big turnout.

As most people with stageas have wives and kids to organise and plan around

Stop it dude. Come, or don't come.

Don't poison this the way you did with the SAU Cars & coffee show.

Here's a proposed route;

It's 201km, with a proposed time of 3h 11m. With some strategic spots to regroup, & photograph; this should be a nice run. I'd be estimating perhaps another 45mins -1 hr to the trip.
It has a mix of tight stuff, and plenty of open corners with damn nice scenery. It was good on the bike; so it should be fairly ok even for people with low clearance.
The best thing; there is basically no-one on these roads (once you get off the GWH) to spoil the flow of a good quality cruise.
Also, everything is 100km/h once you get away from the GWH at Jenolan Caves Rd.

There is a beaut Country pub at O'connell with ample parking; it is about 25km from Mt Panorama, and has awesome bistro food, cold beer, and good prices. They have a large outdoor area with a fire when it's cold, and they are used to serving large numbers, so you won't wait forever for a meal.

Once you're done at Mt Panorama; do the zombie run back along the GWH back to Lithgow, then you can either run down Bell's Line, or continue along the GWH into the epic afternoon traffic in the upper mountains.

Are you kidding me? Cry me a river I'm just saying it's a bit short notice.

Cry you a what? I was referring to your other comment.

You know exactly what I'm talking about.

Come or don't come; don't speak for other people. They can do that themselves.

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. Rb25det s1 walbro255 fuel pump nismo fpr holset hx35 turbo fmic 3" exhaust freddy intake manifold q45tb q45 maf   Re: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Fri Apr 12, 2013 5:07 am No, I didn't. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
