Good afternoon SAU,

After purchasing my dream car, a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Makinen Edition, I have decided to part ways with my beloved R33 GTS-T Series 1.

History of the Car

The car was personally imported by my uncles friend who is 50+. It was complied in February 2007 and was used as his weekend car. I purchased the car off him on the 6th of August 2013 with approximately 73,000km on the odometer. The car was bone stock, and since then I have made it much more appealing to the eye :)

FYI

Since owning the car, it has been my daily. The car has been extremely reliable, solid and hassle free. It has always been serviced every 5,000km and filled up with Shell V Power. I travel approximately 50km a day and get around 10.5L/100km. Mind you, this isn't even highway driving as I cruise at 60-70km/h.

The current odometer has just ticked over 88,000km. The car has rego until 09 March 2015.

The amendments that I have made to the car since taking ownership include the following -

  • Installed 4x JVC CS-ZX 640 Speakers at Kim's Car Radios (Still under warranty)
  • Installed a Sony XAV701BT Head Unit at Kim's Car Radios (Total of $1000 inclusive of the speakers above.Still under warranty)
  • Installed and colour matched a R33 Duck Wing from Viva Garage ($200 just for the wing. I still have leftover KH2 paint)
  • Installed and colour matched a R33 Rear Window Spoiler from Viva Garage ($180 just for the spoiler)
  • Installed NGK Iridium Spark Plugs on 23/08/2013 ($100 for the spark plugs)
  • Installed a Super Charge Gold Battery on 13/01/2014 ($125. Still has more than 2 years warranty)
  • Installed Splitfire Coil Packs. (Purchased of SAU Admin Blitz for $320)
  • Purchased R32 GTR Wheels wrapped in Dunlop SP Sport Maxx. Fixed some minor gutter rash and resprayed it Gunmetal Grey ($600 just for the wheels. I still have leftover paint)
  • Had a wheel alignment done at Bridgestone Select Narellan once I put the R32 GTR wheels on ($65)
  • Installed 4.5" HKs Hi Power Cat Back Exhaust. Sounds awesome and does not drone.
  • Painted all 4 brake calipers with high heat red paint.

The Good Points

  • All electricals are working. This includes power windows, side mirrors, front and rear wipers and sprays.
  • Car comes with an Apexi Turbo Timer
  • Car comes with a Mongoose M80 Series Alarm and Immoboliser. I have 2 Spare Remotes
  • The car is straight and most importantly, drives straight!
  • No bubbles on the dash. It is in perfect condition.

The Not So Good Points

  • The drivers side bolster has a little tear smaller than the size of a 5c coin (see the photo below)
  • The steering wheel has started to fade a little at the top (see the photo below)
  • The car has a few minor scratches here and there, which is standard for its age.
  • The front bumper has a scratch under the front lip. It is only visible if you get under the vehicle.

I have priced the car to sell at 9,000 ONO. The car is only for sale on SAU at this stage. I am planning to leave it for a week and if it doesn't sell I will advertise it on Carsales.

The car is located in Edensor Park NSW 2176.

Please do not low ball or waste my time. Test drives available for those who I deem as serious buyers.

As I work Monday-Friday the car can only be viewed on weekends.

Feel free to contact me on 0401 869 455. Don't hesitate to ask me any questions as I may have missed several items.

Regards,

Lewis

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
