R34 25gt 2000 Series Ii Instrument Cluster

Hello,

I just had a question; I own a R34 25GT 4 Door automatic series 2, I was just wondering if I installed a series 1 cluster so the orange film will no longer be present would that be okay? Will it need any modifications or is it plug and play?

Or on the series 2 can I remove the Orange film?

This is because I want to change the LED colours
