** Why do I need to upgrade? **
Your stock unit will eventually fail, locking your air-conditioning at 18degrees & full blast.
Your stock unit probably already has the embarrassing ‘CD ERROR f0’ message.
That stock stereo with 80’s cassette deck makes your car look out-of-date.
Your resale value is going to be impacted without this upgrade.
These cars are hard enough to sell already, without evidence that you’ve cheaped-out by avoiding the fundamental upgrades.

** Reasons to purchase from me. **
I imported these directly from Japan for these FB groups, to sell cheap so that people are not tempted by cheaper imitation kits.
I’m local, active on these groups and can assist with advice on your install.
I’m selling these cheaper than anywhere else that you can find.
Once these are gone, I won’t be importing any more (too many people have flaked on sales).
I need to recover my costs to pay my medical bills. Any left over cash will likely be spent on purchasing your used parts. :-)

** Reasons to avoid cheaper imitation ‘Metra’ kits. **
Poorly made & prone to failure,
Cheap ‘Play School’ style rubber buttons ,
Doesn’t match stock interior,
Will end up costing you 3x in the future.
Replacing with JDM and repairing damage caused. Most likely damaging your expensive Body Control Module.

** Costs of importing from the USA / Japan. **
Importing from USA/Japan is up to $250 (60%) more expensive.
These prices don’t include the installation bracket ($50), dual zone climate button conversion ($50-$100), cubby storage ($50) or navigation pop-up screen with JDM controls ($150-500).

    • Thanks GTSboy. I will inspect the valves actually, is this something I can do while they are still in the head? The block/bores don’t look bad to be honest hey, I can still see the cross hatches in the bores and they still measure 86.5mm. I’m not sure how to measure the installed ring gaps but I will do that and take it to someone who can.
    • I’ve had the same headache with my lowered car, scissor jack first then floor jack every time. Ended up grabbing an extra-low profile aluminum jack (about 70mm entry height) and it finally slides under the lip without drama.
    • No sync errors , i have installed AEM disk will return original 360 slot disk and check if there’s any one with running AEM disk could share setup
    • Its been a while! Finally thought to do something on this car, so here we go. This will be a slow burning, multiple posts as I spend 0.5-1hr a day on this job, over multiple days... Full set of GKTech suspension arms!   Step 1: Buy Arms, done! Step 2: Start removing stuff. HICAS was easy. Rear suspension arms are now gone, they were a bitch but breaker bars with long handle extensions, 2 1.5hr slots later, stock arms are off! Next step, remove the hubs and take them to work to press out the bearings and bushings!
