  1. *Authentic JDM - Dual-DIN fascias for sale with air-con controllers, bracket, dual-zone mod. * $450 posted Australia wide. Pick-up available in Melbourne. PM for availability - these will sell quick! ** Why do I need to upgrade? ** Your stock unit will eventually fail, locking your air-conditioning at 18degrees & full blast. Your stock unit probably already has the embarrassing ‘CD ERROR f0’ message. That stock stereo with 80’s cassette deck makes your car look out-of-date. Your resale value is going to be impacted without this upgrade. These cars are hard enough to sell already, without evidence that you’ve cheaped-out by avoiding the fundamental upgrades. ** Reasons to purchase from me. ** I imported these directly from Japan for these FB groups, to sell cheap so that people are not tempted by cheaper imitation kits. I’m local, active on these groups and can assist with advice on your install. I’m selling these cheaper than anywhere else that you can find. Once these are gone, I won’t be importing any more (too many people have flaked on sales). I need to recover my costs to pay my medical bills. Any left over cash will likely be spent on purchasing your used parts. :-) ** Reasons to avoid cheaper imitation ‘Metra’ kits. ** Poorly made & prone to failure, Cheap ‘Play School’ style rubber buttons , Doesn’t match stock interior, Will end up costing you 3x in the future. Replacing with JDM and repairing damage caused. Most likely damaging your expensive Body Control Module. ** Costs of importing from the USA / Japan. ** Importing from USA/Japan is up to $250 (60%) more expensive. These prices don’t include the installation bracket ($50), dual zone climate button conversion ($50-$100), cubby storage ($50) or navigation pop-up screen with JDM controls ($150-500). 3. I'd like to paint match the Nismo Billet style Oil Cap. It's a sparkly silver. I'd like to match my valve covers to this oil cap as close as possible. Has anyone tried this before?
  4. Interested to hear what you ended up selling for. Was it close to $17,400?
  5. It depends on state - I remember hearing that either the 350GT or 300GT was taken off the list of approved cars for P-plate drivers and this had a big impact on the price. Late last year some were only selling for $5-6k. I'm not sure of the condition though. Interested to know what the market is like.
  6. I'm not sure what the issue is with a "knock off of the real thing". The official Nissan Consult 3 will set you back thousands.. The Chinese Nissan Consult 3 can be imported for $150 USD. When purchasing from China be careful that you're not purchasing from a reseller (of a reseller, of a reseller, of another reseller...). The quality of the model that I purchased is great. Quality control in China varies a lot, but if you've got a warranty purchasing major sites (like Alibaba, etc.) If you don't need to diagnose & just want to display readings, then the HKS OBD Link is a great tool. http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/431576-diagnostic-port-adapter-display-app I use both.
  7. Just do a search.. The G35 service manual should be sufficient. It's available for download in multiple locations.
  8. Have you looked on the Nissan website? http://history.nissan.co.jp/ Here's the data for '04-'05. http://history.nissan.co.jp/SKYLINE/V35/0411/DATA/main1_2.html
  9. I always wonder who's dreaming when I see ads like this.. Are you getting any offers close to $19k? The market for the V35 isn't the same as 2-3 years ago. Even last year, mostly stock V35 would sell for around $13k. If you're familiar with the import process, you'd know that people are bringing them over for a cheaper than that. I don't mean to be critical. I'm just curious whether people are stilling willing to pay $20k for our cars.
  10. Thanks for the info. I'm also interested in replacing my diff bushes. I'll be installing a Cusco LSD and was wondering whether I should purchase SPL or Whiteline. I'm concerned about NVH for inner city driving.
  11. I'm with Lumley SV & consider their pricing very reasonable for enthusiasts. It really depends on your criteria and what you want from your policy. I'm more concerned about having my choice of repairer and salvage rights. You can find threads on here every year with various price ranges people pay. We all have different criteria though, so they are kind of pointless. As others have said, pay attention to who the underwriter is and what's included in the policy. They're not all the same.
  12. I'd be inclined to say there is a performance decrease. Atleast there was when I used a K&N cone filter (according to my butt-dyno ) Our engine bays run hot so heat-soak is a major concern. If you're more after noise, then get something like this: http://www.soundracer.se/?p=98 Otherwise you could get a pod filter that fits into the stock airbox.
  13. It's good that you're not in a rush to sell, as many people have commented that the market has taken a hit. $13K seemed like a fair price when I was looking 12 months ago. You may have to price yours a bit less as it's non-premium, non-colour matched parking sensors, 17" wheels, etc. Hopefully you get a decent price!
  14. Most people do a reset when installing an intake mod, as it resets the learnt ratios. It will take a few runs before your car relearns. My understanding of the ECU is that it's an adaptive learning ECU that adjusts to your driving style. So it won't matter if you don't reset the ECU. Over time it will adjust. I like to reset my ECU after installing new intake mods though.
  15. I'm looking to purchase a spare set of A-pillars for either gauge install or audio install, for a 2003 350GT Coupe. Does anyone know if the parts are different for the 03-04 350GT Coupe and the 01-03 300GT Sedan or NM35 Stagea? In EPC-data, the part number appears to be '76911 AM800' for the coupe, whereas it's '76911 AL500' for the sedan & wagon. http://nissan.epc-data.com/skyline/cpv35/6826-vq35de/body/769/76911M/ http://nissan.epc-data.com/skyline/v35/6817-vq25dd/body/769/76911M/
  16. Are you insured? If so, you could get the part numbers from Nissan or online: http://www.epc-data.com/ There was a silver V35 being wrecked privately in Melbourne (uninsured write-off), however I think it also had front-end damage.
  17. Does anyone have a spare set of floor mats? I'm after the front two in particular. Maybe you've upgraded to aftermarket or Nismo floor mats and still have the original in decent condition.
  18. Those rims would be lucky to sell for $300-400. Replacing the 2 unroadworthy tyres would make them more hassle than they are worth. Plenty of people list things for unrealistic prices (especially retailers) - it doesn't mean that the market rate is even close to the amount. If it was, my V35 would be worth $26K after converting back to stock.
  19. You can purchase the original operational manual from Japan. It's in Japanese these though, so it might not be much use to everyone.
  20. I've seen 2 sets sell for $600 (one on eBay, another on FB) and another sell for $300. These are the 19" Rays OEM wheels (8" & 8.5") with tyres. OEM 18" wheels only sell for $300-500. I've seen a set sell for $800, but they had 5km on them. They were practically untouched. 17" OEM wheels don't sell. You'd struggle to give them away. Tyres on used rims don't add any value. They are usually a bonus that attract someone to the sale (similar to mods on a car). A lot of people will claim these are rare & try to list for a crazy price. It's no surprise they are still holding onto them a year later. A lot of people put a high price ($1.5k) on 350z brembos or 370z akebonos (because of the brand). These are still OEM though and only sell for $800 from a wreckers. Sure they have the brand name, but they are still mass produced for these vehicles.
  21. You can use a voltmeter to check if the alternator is working - you should be getting around 14v at idle. To see what's drawing current (when the vehicle is off) measure the current draw and start pulling fuses. If you see it drop significantly you've likely found the culprit. The power supplies in the OEM headunit often fail and something simple like a globe in your boot/glove-box could be stuck on. Tracing a parasitic current draw isn't the best way to spend a weekend, but it's better than dealing with a flat battery.
  22. I've seen these sell for $300-500 (without that curb rash.) Good luck selling OEM wheels for $1000+.
  23. James - are you still interested in parting out the car? I sent you a PM.
