  1. correct-o! Actually I speak/used-to-speak Japanese - so I prefer to keep buttons in Japanese.
  2. I'd like to retain usage of the 7" pop-up navigation screen - these kits appear to accommodate that requirement. Is preference on OEM only due to the buttons? If so, I should be able to fit the original buttons. Or is the plastic poorly molded and cheap?
  3. I was assumming that I would have to order from the USA - however I thought there might be a small chance that someone had been clearing space & wanted to get some cash for the hardware they've never had time to install. Do you have any recommendations on aftermarket dash kits: Scosche, Metra, Turbo etc.? They appear to be quite reasonably priced, however I'm unsure how well they fit.
  4. Does anyone have one of these gathering dust (from an aftermarket audio project that it is never going to happen.. )? I'd like to purchase one for a CPV35, 2003, premium edition with dual A/C & navigation. I'm aware that these are available from the USA, or locally from Chris Rogers, but thought someone might have one spare that they aren't going to use.
  5. After searching these forums (and others) I've become confused about the recommended battery size. The Century NS60LS has been recommended (430CCA, 47Ah.) Length 234mm, Width 129mm, Height 201mm. However, in the G35 / 350z forums, they recommend 'Group 35' batteries, such as: Optima d35 (650CCA, 48Ah.) Length 238mm, Width 173mm, Height 199mm. The 5cm difference in length is significant, as the battery won't fit into the holder correctly. What is the recommended dimensions for the battery in an '03 coupe?
  6. I assume, from your NSW club membership, that the wheels are located in Sydney / NSW.
  7. Does anyone have a spare OEM silver bonnet that is taking up space? Let me know your price before the end of the week :-)
  8. Previous buyer decided that the CF style wasn't for them. The bonnet is available again for swap + cash, while I wait to hear back from other interested parties. Attached are photos of the actual bonnet on my car. :-) I really like the look, but need a stock bonnet for RWC. Note: while I was cleaning the car I remembered that there is a slight crack in the clear coat of the bonnet. It's only noticeable up close. I just purchased the car, so I had it assessed and there is no damage to the CF -it's purely cosmetic to the outer gel. It's meant to be an easy fix with some resin and wet sanding, then an application of clear coat. I'd recommend doing this for any CF bonnet to keep it in immaculate condition. PM if you have a silver CPV35 bonnet available. If I don't sell/trade by the end of the week I'll likely just purchase an OEM bumper and keep this.
  9. PM sent. I've received a few EOI, but haven't had time to organise inspections. I will have time this weekend. First in with quality KYO silver CPV35 bonnet + cash offer can have the CF bonnet. Best to be quick, before I become attached to the CF look. ;-)
  10. The eBay ad is not mine -just another seller who stocks the same style bonnet. My car is KYO brilliant silver.
  11. I'll do a special price on my bonnet for whoever purchases your car Cobey. It's definitely an example that other v-series enthusiasts aspire to.
  12. Fancy a roadtrip to Melbourne? I assume freight would be rediculous given the weight of the items.
  13. Let me know if you have one in decent condition. I also have a TopSecret Carbon Fiber bonnet that I'd consider offers on.
  14. Any chance that I could loan a bonnet (it doesn't need to colour match)? RWC should only take a couple of hours.
  15. Just wondering whether a sub-forum for the V-Series Skylines is still in the works for the Classifieds section?
  16. I've just purchased a 350GT coupe and learnt that the modifications it came with are not likely to pass road worthy. Would anyone be willing to help out by loaning their bonnet & air-intake for a couple of hours while I get a RWC? PM me please. I just want to transfer the car into my name while I save for parts / wait for a bonnet to arrive from Japan. If you like beer, I've got a case of Belgium beer (Leffe Radieuse) which should see you through winter. Thank you!
  17. PM sent with a list of parts. I thought it would be useful to have a list of recommended wreckers, to save people time when they're searching for parts. However, I've read in some threads that you're quite good at that. ^__^
  18. I realised that the questions were generating a lot of traffic, however I thought it would be helpful for others when they search the forum to have individual topics, rather than having to search through long posts. I didn't see any threads that outlined the colour differences, so I thought it would be good to start one.
  19. Cheers Andrew, I thought it would be marked somewhere on the car, along with the codes for the other equipment.
  20. Regarding carbon fibre bonnets, VSI-14 - Body & Chassis Modifications, outlines what is required for fibreglass parts, however I haven't read anything anywhere about carbon fibre being ADR approved. http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/vehicle_regulation/bulletin/pdf/NCOP6_Section_LH_Body_and_Chassis_01Jan2011_v3.pdf
  21. I haven't read anything about a 2" rule yet - but I've heard it mentioned on many forums, so I assume it came from some guidelines document. There's a lot of information for understanding the guidelines on tires & rims: http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/vehicle_regulation/bulletin/pdf/NCOP11_Section_LS_Tyres_Suspension_Steering_V2_1Jan_2011%20v3.pdf This is from: Vehicle Standards Bulletin 14 (VSB 14) - has a lot of details about what can be done: http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/vehicle_regulation/bulletin/vsb_ncop.aspx VSI-14 also refers to: ADR 42—General Safety Requirements: covers tire & rims: http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/motor/design/adr_online.aspx Too much reading... I'm happy with 20" rims provided they get a RWC.
  22. Just seeking some clarity on the paint codes for an MY03 CPV35. My car appears to be silver, but I was wondering whether there was a way to tell (without going to the trouble of taking it to a panel beater.) Desert Platinum - appears to have a gold tinge, Diamond Graphite - is a darker grey. I'll try to take a photo when I'm at home (however it's been a while since I've been there in daylight hours.)
  23. Maybe I'm stressed - I've called around to all of the places recommended for doing RWC on imported/modified cars. The mechanics told me they can't approve carbon fibre bonnets and they have to be strict on the other modifcations that are performed as well. It looks like everyone is being strict at the moment.
  24. Does anyone have a list of compatible parts for '03-05 CPV35 (350GT Coupe)? The mechanic I purchased my car from said that parts are compatible with the 350z and Micra (as well as other Nissans.) I'd only read about some parts being compatible from the Infinity G35 as well as the pre-'07 350z. The list would be handy for future reference. The global skyline site has listed some of the parts: http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=145203 I'd read that the standard z-tube induction kit was compatible withe the CPV35 - however the wrecker wasn't happy when I asked for pricing on both the 350z & 350GT induction kits. He said that the 350z induction wouldn't fit a CPV35... I'd like to source cheap parts for my CPV35, to pass a RWC.
  25. Thanks for the tip. I've contact Japan Performance Vehicles (JPV) who imported the car. Hopefully they can send through an 19" or 18" tire placard.
