Another Free Tour of the Holden Performance Driving Centre

Recommended Posts

Well yes it is on yet again, free tour of the Holden Performance Driving Centre, plus a short demonstration of how/why Roil works.

Plus you get to walk through the workshop of a certain V8 supercar team, not that it is exciting, but interesting none the less.

It wont cost you a cent and you dont have to sign up or buy anything whatsoever, infact I dont think you can actually buy anything on the night anyway :)

To see pics of the last tour, see this thread:

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=45166

http://www.coastcars.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=457

It's on the 8th of September starting at 7pm sharp.

No you can bring whomever you want as this is an open invitation to anyone who wants to have a sneak peek at the nice historical car's they have on display. Wont cost you a cent, just your time.

Only catch is that after the tour there will be a short demonstration of an oil additive called Roil. You will not be asked to make any purchases nor will you be asked to sign up for any "get-rich-quick" crap, if you are not interested in the product after the demonstration then you leave, simple eh?

Come one, Come all!

charly your very quick to put your opinion in

i bet you wouldnt have the guts to go cause you might be surprised and proven wrong.

Im puttin this to anyone here if you think this stuff is shit come along and prove them wrong. See if any of you have the guts to do it or you just all talkers.

I've been there, I've done a two day driving course there, I've taken the tour, I've seen the VL with the special peter Brock energy polarizer on it that's only done like 5km's in it's life that they won't sell you even if you turn up with an open chequebook. Been there done that.

There is no such thing as a free lunch.

Edit: almost forgot. It's always free to go to the gallery. Provided that their open.

and the world is flat.

The Gallery might be free, I do not know, I was under the impression that is costs $10, but will call them up and ask them this, but even so you normally do not get to go into the V8 Supercar team's workshop and stuff like that, which I already posted is not that exciting, I much rathered look at the old racing cars, but the collection of Holdens there didnt really impress me much, as I am not a huge Holden fan.

Yes I have worked as a cold caller and pushed crap down other peoples throat, and yes it does suck, which is exactly why I am DEFINATLY NOT selling this product, nor am I putting ANYONE who comes into that position of having to make a purchase or do anything but frigging have a look at the cars, watch a short demonstration and explaination of the product and leave!

Please refrain from giving your expert opinion on what will go on during this night and what it is all about until you have been, then and only then are you in a well educated position to tell people exactly what you thought of it.

Also I dont think you read the first post right, there is no free lunch being served as it will start at 7pm, although there will be tea and coffee there if you wish to have something hot to drink. This will cost anyone who comes nothing, zip, nil, nada, nothing, nor will they be asked to buy/sell anything in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM!

You've done the tour and obviously was not impressed, which is fine, but you could have just posted that. Do have to constantly search for hidden meanings in everything and read hostile intentions into the actions of others?

Nice edit too :P

Anyway back on topic please.

No guts as in to prove them wrong..your all very quick to critise but yet none of you seem to try and prove em wrong

Where did I criticise?

I was asking what guts had to do with attending an open night at the holden centre...

Like it was scary or something.. :ghost:

Did i say you criticsed?? If i did please point out where

My comment was mainly directed at charly. I just find it hard that people can bad mouth something like this if they havent tried it...cyrus has been using it and as far as i know he hasnt had to re build his engine or anything like that. Guts was just a figure of speech like put your money where your mouth is. Im just saying if people think its so shit then wheres their proof that its shit.....

Quote of the week:

"Everyone says Roil sucks, but the guy who sells it swears by it"

Hellooooo hidden agendas.

Its like saying "Everyone says Excels suck, but Hyuandai reccomend them"

I dont swear by it, I only use it, I could sell it but why waste time on ignorant people like you.

WHO SAID ANYTHING ABOUT SELLING OR FU(KING BUYING ANYTHING YOU FU(CKING CO(CKHEAD!

There will be a tour of the gallery and workshop then a very short presentation of what Roil is and how it works, THAT IS IT! NO sales pitch, NO "How many can we put you down for?" NO PUSHY FU(KING SALES PEOPLE!!! HOW MANY FU(KING TIMES DO I HAVE TO EXPLAIN IT TO YOU IGNORANT, MORONIC, REDNECK INBRED, CAMEL SPEW!?!?!?

Just made a quick phone call to HPDC to confirm costings for viewing the Gallery.

The Gallery is actually closed from the 17th July till the 3rd of August but the cost was and always be $5 to enter.

An oil additave which I use, there is a huge thread about it here, there are a growing number of SAU members using it actually and their results are posted in the same thread.

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
