looks like it came from japancarbuyer or one of them mailing lists that risbey passes onto his clients :(

As for the car, its a drift pig, nuff said, if you don't mind using a trashed car and don't expect it to last more than a couple of years go for it. If you expect it to run without hassles for more than 3 months after you get it, don't bother.

As for the engine... its an RB20DET that's at its max potential without internal mods (cept for the cams) so I'd say its pretty battered by now. All the things outside the engine are top notch, but I reckon the engines been used at full potential for too long, hence the sale.

If you don't mind gettin another RB20DET (pretty cheap anyway) a lil further down the track or modifying its internals, then get it.

inark's one is an ex drift pig... the guy who owned it runs around in the D1 comps and has agreed to sell our agent other cars too. In fact he has an RB25DET ceffy that he wanted to sell, but I think some ex 300zx owner's snapped it up.

some curiosities bout narkeh's car:

bodykit held on by cable ties, drift style.

intercooler piping held together by tape

rear left quarter panel has had a hit and has since been straightened out, but you can see spot welds etc on the inside.

but then again, narkeh wants a drift pig to abuse, so he didn't really care :(

Or even better, 90, SR20, pretty sweet. About 650000yen FOB

http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f25500394

yeah man saw that other day.. Its only got so far FMIC as the major mods.. The turbo is pretty much stock. No Injectors/AFM otr nnuttinig done to it thou. Its a fair bit for still at that price. For 650,000 i would be expecting a hamburger or an rb25/rb26 dropped in.

Still an SR in those things would make it a good ration of 50/50. very good for drift.

The dark blue one was owned by a Nissan dealer mechanic so you would assume it was well looked after.

thats like saying a panel beaters ex car must have panels str8 as a dye  i used to be a panel beater and didnt know many other panel beaters with str8 cars

that first ceffy with the red rb26 is a 90 model and isnt able to be imported til next year.

ps munkeh - the bottom hose is held on by cable ties :D not tape lol

that car will clean up nice... after ive used it on the track.

True dat. I guess i was just trying to convince myself that they may look after their cars a little differently in Japan......Just a hallucination thats all.

yeah.. i'm looking for another car to import myself.. nice to get something fully modified as like u say the parts are worth fair amount.. but ****ed suspension, ****ed turbos, ****ed...etc (you get the picture) isn't really going to be worth much anyhow.

don't think i'm getting a ceffy though

i'm in two minds, it would be fun to take an rb20det and thrash the absolute balls off it till it cracks.. then again that could be $1500 to sell to somebody else if it was still in one piece :D .. for the Big Beast Engine

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
