Dpg
Hi. I’m looking at buying a 94 r33 gtst. The car has has some work down to the motor and has a garret 2876r turbo put onto it. Was wondering if I should be asking for an engineers cert for that? Also the car has to have compliance plates and the date it was imported will be on the rego paper as he does not have compliance papers.... sorry have not bought an import yet. Any info would be great as the car looks amazing and priced well. Thanks Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/475200-dpg-77/ Share on other sites
Robocop2310
Before anything, I would do the following: - Check to see if the car is lost, stolen or has been written off - Ask to see service logbooks to check that the car has been serviced regularly and by whom - Check to see if the car has any current finance on it and who is the registered owner - Given it has been modified, ask for specific information in regard to what because major performance mods may require an engineers certificate in case you get pulled up and defected by the cops - Depending on which state your from, you may need a roadworthy check and certificate to transfer registration so if you intend on driving it on the streets this is a must The above are what I would do but I'm sure there are other precautionary measures you should take buying a 20-30 year old car. Good luck. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/475200-dpg-77/#findComment-7888371 Share on other sites
