Nozila
Hey guys, I have a new ride that i will be cruising in. Yes its still a nissan, but it aint a skyline. instead its a sr20 powered 180sx, sil80 actually. Its in resonable condition - a bit of mix match colours. So if ya see it around give me a wave aight. Nozila
Here are its mods - ASE Big Front mount Cooler OS GIKEN Super Single Plate Clutch s14 gear box HKS super dragger exhaust AVO bov king springs gab rear adj shocks walbro fuel pump gab front and rear swaybars triple core drift radiator Its makes 170rwkw. Yesterday, i took it out for a little bit of a squirt against the 33 and brothers 32 and i cained them both. Now im a skyline lover but damn this car was an animal compared to the lines. I couldnt believe it so we want a few more times and i still came out on top. Busky2k
SR20 Power man How does she handle? I bet the ride quality however isnt in the same league as the skylines.. Nozila
compared to my 33 and brothers 32 it handles very differently and frightening at times. I can feel every bump in the road, probarbly due to its suspention set up. When it was purchased i knew it was obviously set up for drifting. Still i cant get enough of driving it and the lines have been garaged since. On a side note though, i noticed that the str20 has much more toque than the rb20 which was quite surprising. On a side note though, i noticed that the str20 has much more toque than the rb20 which was quite surprising. the Sr20 has nice toque down low but i rekon it is a very rough engine, a lot of virbration compare to RB. Which is not nice for criuse. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/50158-new-ride/#findComment-1001076 Share on other sites

Nozila
Maxx: Yes you are right in that it vibrates alot compared to the rb's. I assume the black top sr20's in the s15's vibrate alot as well judging from you opinion or is it te opposite ie. smooth. Steve
good work, I love my little 180 - they have more torque because the stroke is longer. fun cars to drive, like go carts on steriods from the drivers seat Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/50158-new-ride/#findComment-1002271 Share on other sites
Bl4cK32
well if ya love the torque of the sr....your gunna need a ride in the rb30 then Steve And it does make the car vibrate a little more too R32 is a cart....unlike the r33 boat Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/50158-new-ride/#findComment-1002305 Share on other sites
Cubes
The ol SR20 is good for the street. Much more mid range but they don't have the top end scream like the RB's. Not that thats a bad thing. I get sick of the rb20t's top end scream to get anywhere. We will have to see how it pulls up against Darrens and I's stocker R32's. Steve
Yeah, the 32s are a bit better out of the box handling wise, but the 33 can be made to handle, just suppose it comes down to whether or not you want a classy ride or not:p That vibration Darren is probably increased by the mission mount, I just fitted one, and it makes a noticeable difference in cabin. I would love to come for a ride when she is all up and run in - yours and Joels lil stocker 32s are very phat. Turbo and manifold due in 1 week .....then it sits till i can afford to fit it good luck on the new car Nozila btw Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/50158-new-ride/#findComment-1002335 Share on other sites

Nozila
Pictures! I will get some pics soon atm my gf's dad is the only person i know of who has a digital camera and getting it off him will take a while. Do they still have street meets on wensdays at air as i would like to see how it goes too. With regards to handling, it quite scary as you feel every bump/pot hole/sewer hole - basically any street in adelaie. Could this be due to the fronts having only king springs while the back has gab shocks or as a result of the sway bars and/or both these mods. Cubes
After my holiday in sydney Adelaide local roads appear quite good. As do Adelaides foot paths etc. I stayed in Darling Harbour area. They still have the big old gutters and wood elec. line stoby's down there. Nozila
I had the car since last week hipster. I have added a few more mods to the line but because it hasnt been tuned ever since i owned it, the car eats alot of petrol - i think its running too rich and thus has remained in the garage. the sil80 was considerably cheap for the level of mods it had. you will see why i said considerably cheap when you see the paint work it has or when i post pics up - basically drift appearance.
