yesterday i tried to put a cash deposit into someone else's account however it wasnt the same bank account as the branch i was at so they wanted to charge me 3.50 then they did not allow me to put a deposit because i didnt provide them with branch details???? anyone ever experienced something this hilarious b4?

I dunno about the 3.50 but you do need the BSB number (which indicates the branch).

thats the way it works... u need a bsb to make a deposit.

and who knows what they do and dont charge for nowdays....

farking banks ... they ****ing charge for everything these days and they dont' even have toilets ....

gets this, if u have a cheque written out to you and there is a wording mistake ie words say its six and the number states 60 cents, the bank will take the difference ie 54 cents and take it as a fee!!!

i'm not shitting you either ... its happened to me 3 times already.

depends on which bank though. but yeah it is dodgy, but there is so many mistakes in cheques and credits it makes things slow and difficult to process so i guess just be more careful...

My business account gets hit at least $50 a month these days. 2 years ago zero cos there is always money in there, now $600pa ****ers.

i did provide them with a bsb number but they still turned me down...haha "it ll cost you and additional 3.50 and it'll take 10 working days for the transaction to go though" or something like that

yeah if it was other bank thats how it always has been

if u want to take money from your account, say a NAB account, and give it to someone with a CBA account, they best way is to take out cash, walk to the nearest CBA branch, and deposit it there. or even better do it through internet banking.

i didnt realise you meant complete other bank i thought u meant just a different branch of the same(surprising if it was the case)

dont go to your bank, deposit the money in the same bank as the other person has in cash

and it will go through straight away.

hmm i dont know of any branch of that person's bank....heritage building society its called

well then u would probably have to go to the building society

it would probably actually be processed by either commonwealth or westpac so you might be able to go to one of their branches. best to just look up which bank it is by asking a branch to look up the bsb they should know.

the only actual banks in aus are

anz, wbc, cba, stg, bwa, rba.

all the building societies and stuff like that are actually processed by one of the large banks.
