Yes actually, I know it's not a newer skyline but,

I'm doing an engine transplant into a HR31 Coupe, it's getting a RB25DET Neo engine, along with a hi-flo turbo, big FMIC, 3" exhaust, aftermarket computer, upgraded fuel system, cams etc.

Hoping for somewhere in the vicinity of the 250-270rwkw after some more mods.

Sounds good.

Grepin, Chris32 and myself have been busy as well.

I reckon when Clint32 completes his animal we should have another dyno day at Boost Worx with Shaun's recently recalibrated dyno. Maybe a month after the 4, 6 & Rot nationals.

    • Heh. I copied the link to the video direct, instead of the thread I mentioned. But the video is the main value content anyway. Otherwise, yes, in Europe, surely you'd be expected to buy local. Being whichever flavour of Michelin, Continental or Pirelli suits your usage model.
    • Continental have consistently beaten the absolute shit out of every other performance tyre in Wet/Damp/Cold conditions and give up a little bit of time (half a second at most) in the dry. Almost like it's engineered for German conditions or something. I'd def give those a try.
    • I refer you to this thread on PF, by someone who knows what he's doing. Paints a good picture of the humble AD09.
    • Ha, I've never pressed the X in all these years incase it removed the notification for all Admins
    • I don't know, I've never done it that way, but 1. While it is an interference engine, there is still clearance between the valves and the piston at all points in the regular timing cycle 2. There is not a lot of distance before you can't catch the top of the valve stem any more I don't know if 2 is greater or less than 1. But 3. If it doesn't work out you are f**ked, engine is coming out to disassemble so it is a big bet.
