hmmm.... well, i drilled another hole... your prob not interested in doin so... but in the GTST there aint too much room for much, as i spose the GTR would not be any better.

Above the Acc pedal and to the right, i made a hole... works well, just have to protect the cable from the firewall, so it aint wear throu and touch your + onto the chassis..

Been there done that. RHS of engine firewall behind the suspension tower is a triangular opening which is blocked with foam.

You will need to undo two 10mm nuts that hold the vac booster reservior above the hole.

Feed your wiring through the opening and stuff the foam back in there. Lay your cable down the side of you floor to the back. You have to pull out the rear seat and your plastic door sill protector. Hook it up and get the tunes cranking!

Cool that would be great.

is there anything under the dash that i will need to removed to access it cause the other night i could not see where the wire would come out if i was to put it through the triangle bit. i could push it down but where does it go. i have alot of padding stuff lining up under the dash so i am guessing it is covering it in some way but looks like too much effort to remove it... and i dont want to go cutting it untill i know exactly where to do so.

Hi Nugget_GTR,

underneath the backseats there are two clips, to unhook the clips you just pull the front part of the seat UPWARDS and the'll come off, then you pull the seat forward which will unhook two latches from behind the seat, the part of the seat where you sit on should now come out...

Now you should see a couple of screws holding the other part of the seat, simply undo these then pull the seat upwards and it will come off... let me know if you get stuck

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
    • Also wanted to say, my new spark plugs are blackened looks like it's very rich. I have splitfire coilpacks but stock coilpack loom and ignitor. I tried directly grounding the ignitor ground to body as well.
