hey,

friday night i got pulled up for stopping in a non parking zone, which i no is wrong.but this isnt why he was hasseling me!just wanted to be a hero infront of what looked like a new very young looking cop.anyway he was up me for my mags, which are 17x9 with 255x40x17 rubber all round?he was telling me there scubbing out and by looking at them with my eyes they look brand new still?

my question being is there a legal limit on width of tyres if they are not 2inches bigger than standard?also i have the engineers cert tht says wheels and tyres are orignal or equivelent to orignal so is does that mean he cant do shit or will i have to take wheels off?didnt get a defect notice either?cheers and sorry for the hole story and stuff

The actual law is it cannot be more than a 15% increase in rolling diameter from the original wheels. 17x9 with 255/40/17's is fine, and if you have them engineered (as part of your 89 compliance im guessing) show him the papers and he shouldnt have a problem with it.

    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
    • Nice, that's not laggy swtching between functions at all. Could it be less laggy than the factory one below? 😋
    • The 400R sold all 1000 units and 100 of the limited model so I'd say even if they just sold the GT with a manual it'd sell out in Japan for sure. I say 'sell out' because like the 400R I'm certain that Nissan JP will only offer it in limited numbers, or even in 150 unit increments like Toyota did with the GR Corolla (and sold them by lottery which I was denied 2 times, so gave up...)
