Wanted to preferably borrow/hire, but may buy these STOCK items. Need them to get the car through compliance. I am in Adelaide, but can pay for shipping. There must be tons of this near worthless gear around the place :D

Thanks!

awesome - the sooner I can get it the better. How many km has it done, and how much do you want for it Bob?

Anyone else got these bits?

price hmm $100? To make it worth my while packaging it up.

You might find something local. I will look into putting the bilsteins I have in my spare room on and get back to you.

cool, sounds good! I guess transport is the next problem .... I might do some research. I am in Adelaide if you didn't know :)

You don't still have your stock exhaust too by any chance do you?

cool - I take it the shocks/springs are in good condition (not leaking or anything), as I need them to get through a compliance and government inspection.

Great mate, I'll take them for sure (assuming they are in ok condition).

How much did you get for the exhaust (as a price guide)?

Cheers, let me know the second they are off the car - apparently my car has already left Japan, so my car is only a few weeks off. I can dd you the money as soon as they are ready to send!

Anyone else got an exhaust/know where I could find one?

Ok then. One of the rear ones leaked before I got it but you can tell the leaking has stopped cos it's all dry so when they have been cleaned you'll never know. I'm not saying in any way that the shocks are in great condition, just that they look fine and go ok.

You wont have any problems with inspections.

I'll pm you when I get it off.

not that I care (since they are only going to be in for compliance then my aftermarket ones will be going in), but how many km had your car done when you got it, and have you noticed them sagging in height at all, or not being as firm as original? Reason I ask is because I have an S15 that I bought brand new, and at around 50,000km I noticed the rear had dropped about an inch and they certainly roll more going around corners.

  • 2 weeks later...

thanks Bob, sorry to bug you in my PMs ;) - I am just very keen to get this baby on the road! Let me know the second they are off the car please :)

ANYONE have a stock R34 4 door exhaust??? Or know where I could track one down. Does anyone have a friend with an R34GTT 4 door that might have a stock exhaust in their shed? Thanks in advance!

Andrew

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
