You dont even need spring compressors, the super lows will be low enough that they'll only compress once the car is lowered off the jack.

Here is a picture as i promised of my car, i just got it back.

not a problem mate, the cars un driveable with the fronts in, so by the looks of it you cant really go more then 2.75" in the front.

So for ideal setup, you'd want 3.75" at rear, and 2.75" at front.

Well, superlows will drop the car enough to be able to tell, but their will still be a gap and i'd say a fairly big one at that all around the car..

My car is lowered 3.75" which is easily another 1.25" on what super lows are (thats minimum) and my rubber only 'just' sits in the car.

Drop them in and let me know?

Your allowed your own oppinion mate, im just providing first hand experience on something that was asked.

FYI the car handles better now then it did on pedders sports suspension before hand, not all skylines need coil overs, drift rims and massive gaps between the wheel and arch to handle good:)

you guys have lots of money to spend on tyres? I have King lows on my car and get wear on the inside of the tyres that reduces their life considerably...

as well with the 3.5" exhaust hanging underneath there is only about 90mm ground clearance

lastly, be careful your car isn't riding on the bump stops as doing this for a long period can crack welds in the chassis etc

however these points only really affect daily driven cars such as mine... I guess if your just going for cruises on the weekend then it should be okay

  • 2 weeks later...

Below is a photo of mine with 2.75 lowered springs all round, It looked great but yes it was a bitch to drive and destroyed 3 sets of tyres in under 12000 km's so I opted for some cusco struts and hence have the four springs laying in the garage. My opinion is this, if you are a "every fifth weekend cruiser", go for it but for a daily or weekly driver, dont do it.

I had a threshold of about 1/2 hour before the rough ride started to piss me off and I just wished I was in my work ute.

by the way, the springs are for sale, pm offers.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
