Guys

Does anyone know the differences between these heads? Know cams are different, but what about valve sizes and spring tensions.

Asking as am thinking of throwing RB20DET bottom end on my RB20DE, should I do the head also?

Thanks

if u did the head as well it would just be a complete engine wouldnt it??

I know this is an extremely old topic but I have been searching the site for the difference between the rb20det vs. rb20de. I have 3 rb20 motors 2 det and 1 de and would like to use the DE as a spare motor to build incase anything happens to the others.

So far the differences I have read are the DE block doesn't have oil squirters, possibly no spot for oil drain?

Anyone shed some light on this topic I'm sure has been beaten to death.

you would have to change the pistons unless your happy with high comp?

no oil squirter's wouldn't phase me if true, dunno about oil drain? Would have thaught it would?

Indeed it does have a place for the oil drain. I finally got my motors out of storage and to my house and checked it out. Im thinking of putting a nice thick headgasket on my DE to lower the comp some and throw a KA transmission on it for an ultra low budget rb20 240sx just to sell.
