Split Front and Dump Pipe -- BATMBL one (already have cat back)

Cams--- HKS or GREDDY ??? which is better??

Turbo --- HKS GTRS KIT

Fuel Pump--- TOMEI?? ive herd WALBRO arnt that good> any ideas which 1>?

RB20DET AP PFC $1040 delivered.

There's no real need for a hand controller, if it knocks it flashes your dash light, you then know to get it checked out and find out exactly why it is knocking.

* The PowerFC runs the rb20det's really nice, like factory if not better, strange enough it felt smoother through acceleration. The stock ECU I had a little bit of an iffy slightly hunting idle, the pfc has got rid of that idle.

* The PFC boost control kit works well, an AVCR would be nicer as it allows rpm and gear boost control (Good to aid traction in lower gears). The AVCR being a closed loop boost controller monitors boost level and adjusts the duty cycle in real time to achieve the boost level you have set.

This helps prevent the horrid boost drop/tailing off at high rpm when running a turbo near its limits.

* Tomei and HKS cams are known to work well. I prefer Tomei.

* Fuel pump - Bosch 044, mount it internally. If done correctly they are quiet.

* Z32 afm will work fine.

* GTR Injectors will be fine, but do remember that you will be up for the cost ($250-$300) + cleaning ($150 + resistor pack ($100 S/H - $190 New)

The EManage is a piggy back solution, there is no comparison to a Power FC (FC =Full Computer). I wouldn't bother with an EManage on an R32, if I only wanted to spend $700, then I would get the R32 ECU chipped and tuned live on the dyno.

:D cheers ;)

All the reputable places I talked to about tuning an AP Engineering PFC said that they don't need the hand controller, and that using a laptop and the software they have allows for better tuning anyway. So I wouldn't bother with it if you're not gonna touch it yourself, cause they don't wanna touch it either :D

The group buy is $1040 delivered to your door.

It should be closed, the closing date is the 26th of august.

No doubt it will extend due to lack of interest?

Slap the link in your sig and become a post whore, a lot of ppls don't look in the group buy section. :D

If you buy through greenline or the likes there is a chance you will get done for GST.

Emanage would work well with an auto setup.

nice 3000-3500rpm stall convertor with a tricked up auto would launch damn hard, nice street weapon. :D

Thats when the rb20det box gives way and your left thinking about spending $1500 on an rb25 gearbox + $800 worth of clutch (not inc. labour). For the same money you can get a nice auto setup, depends what you want the car for.

I've considered an auto as its a daily driver and I enjoy small squirts fromt he traffic lights up to the speed limit but I have my heart set on the local track. :P

Fuel pump - Bosch 044, mount it internally. If done correctly they are quiet.

you say about that fuel pump my pump now is rather loud on start up like a whining noise whilst turned to on u can hear it until it ahhh loads some fuel in the system

is that normal or is it shagged neways??

All fuel pumps have a nice little buz.

When the bosch pumps are mounted badly they tend to vibrate and create a surge grrrrrrrrrrr bad really lound annoying noise.

Mine is mounted externally and makes the horrible noise on hot days.

As said the horrible noise isn't the usual bzzzzzz, its the grrrrrr rrr r r r rrrr rr :D

ahh ok is it easy to install/mount them properly yourself??

do i have to get that 044 one or can i get the 040 because its a bit cheaper?? will it do the job ok?

Do it your self and it will get done right. :P

I know Shaun @ Boostworx does a good job that doesn't make any noise, he's in sa though. :D

There's a DIY guide how to mount a bosch pump intank in the guide section, predator I think did the guide.

040 will do the job BUT they don't mount as low down in to the tank. Grab what suits your needs.

A GTR pump may very well supply enough fuel. Chances are it will.

hmm what suits my needs... so the o44sits lower meaning it will be less noisy? sky180 sells them and it says the are "recommendly" installed exteraly

is this right or wrong so i should be able to do it ok thou hopefully bcoz everything i install in my car seems to be a mission.

    • Seat of the pants assessment of the new intake: The car is way less "doughy" when hitting the loud pedal, especially off idle when stopped or in traffic, I did use a cheapo lazer thermal thingo to measure the temp around where the pod filter got its air, it was between 55 - 60°C, in saying this the car was shut off and not moving, so the OEM intake pipe was not supplying any fresh air to where the pod was when the car was at least moving A weird bonus was induction noise on the throttle in the cabin increased a bit,  I was worried that I was actually going to lose some of that induction noise I love so much, outside though, when I got the daughter to do a WOT drive by pass for me, the induction noise has increased alot when on the throttle, not quite ITB doort, but well up there I'm extremely happy with the results and have been exploring the country roads in the region  As for house mods: 1.New front fence is up and is awesome, it really upgraded how the joint looks from the street, and the added security is nice 2. Electricians have replace some interior lights, and with more lighting in the garage, a few new motion detecting lights out the front above the garage, front room, and at the front door, which I have already found heaps helpful coming and going, also now has fancy pants CCTV all round the house The only hold point for power though is the solar and batteries due to supply issues, although this will happen over the next few weeks 3. I have done a heap of landscaping out the front and I'm almost ready to do a new small retaining wall with some nice blocks to replace the brick and cemented in rocks around the raised garden beds cemented in river stone "was the fashion at the time" the house was built. I currently have a pallet of retaining wall blocks and 2 bulka bags of 20mm blue metal to replace the wood chip that is in the raised garden beds around the house 4. I now have 3 big raised garden beds for out the back to grow some vegetables, about 70cm high, 200cm long and 100cm wide 5. My 2 compost bins are already pretty full with brown, green and kitchen waste from the landscaping I'vedone so far, but they will probably take a few months to break down, so anything else that gets chopped, trimmed, and kitchen waste will just start filling the base of the raised garden beds to about 30cm before I start throwing 40cm of good compost, and stuff, for the vegetables to grow in, I'll need a few ton of compost and soil, but the local supplier can sent me bulka bags of the stuff Basically the logs, wood chips and a few strategically placed rocks for drainage, will give the beds some good organic materials down low to break down over time, and they will hold moisture during the warmer months to save the water in my big arse water tank if we don't get alot of rain So, all in all, the car and house mods are going well, and I'm really enjoying being retired, I sleep in too 0700 and slowly plod around inside until I feel like actually doing anything, and only work in the yard for as long as want, which has actually been alot over the last few weeks,  although when you look at it, it seems that not a huge amount of work has been done,  until I look at the before I started the work pics Happy days and good times indeed
    • hahaha yeah. Plan is to get side skirts and probably just rear pods. But going to do them one-by-one. I've got a set that I really like from RHDJapen, but that one isn't shipped to AU. So need to find someone who can get it for me
    • Here's an idea, answer the questions I asked you as they are trying to work out WHY the LSD will be binding up in a straight line.
    • You haven't driven many modern cars then have you? Most of them have sfa steering feel with their stupid electric bullshit steering systems.
