I'm deciding between the PowerFC and the FConV Pro. At the moment and I am wondering if anyone knows of a place where I can get the FConV Pro tuned in Sydney....

I'm guessing BD4's can do it and Ed has also told me of someone who can but does anyone know who else can and how the FCon is interfaced whether its through a PC and if you need the software etc.

btw I'm talking about the FConV Pro which is a replacement ECU not the piggyback FConS.

where can i get software? for this or the PFC pro....

interested.

I'm pretty sure the F-Con Pro is not available here.

The other model is $1,400 or so + $400 harness so obviously the PowerFC is better value.

T.

you obviously haven't looked at the feature list ;)

You'd be more correct saying the PFC is cheaper :uh-huh:

Even with the HKS software you still need the magic cable.

Does PowerFC allow the use a MAP sensor at all?

In Japan brand new the FCon is more expensive than the powerFC. Although these two are the most popular ECU's here the FCon is still MORE popular than the PowerFC. Both Top Secret and Jun Auto use it for their tuning....

However they obvious can tune it here where as in Australia I guess no one can tune it from what I can see ni this thread.

I called the guy, he can do FCON S/e-manage etc...

Not the FCON V pro yet....so if you're not in a hurry and want the FCON V pro.... :P

He'll be back on the 26th too...

Ed: Umm I am not 100% if it would suit an R34 with a Neo or not... I am still trying to find someone to tune it and if not I am going to sell it... I am going to ring Tillbrooks today as they are prob the only ones if any that would do it here in Adelaide. If they do I will ask them if it will suit an R34.

I would not be asking a great deal , It also has an Apexi engine management module with it aswell + had a hand controller for that too but it got stolen out of the car when was at the importer, still trying to get that back... I will keep you posted mate, I want to find out exactly what is what before saying yes it will work on your car or no it wont.

I think its fully programmable so I guess it would suit most cars...

If I sell I would be asking under the price of a Power FC for SAU members.

If I sell on ebay then I will be asking alot more.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
