As far as I have been told, it is know illega to do mobile road worthys,

From a convo I was having with a guy that use to do the roadies, so if u can still find some one good luck, & if u do let me know too I am trying to avoide getting a day pass to take it to some one

Another thing u can do is get a "DOT's Day Pass", the cost for the day pass are as follows $85 for a insurance note (this will cover you for upto 7 days from what I have been told, just goto Suncorp or a CTP insurer) & $18 Per day for the pass from DOT's

so your looking @ a hell of a lot just to get it to a mechanic, the thing is after u have got the roadie u can then drive it straight to DOT's & get the rego inspection done then & there with out having to stuff around.

The Day pass is a stupid idea if u ask me, cheaper to just find a local road worth mechanic & have it towed there or hire a car trayler, hell $100 deposit & $75 for 9hrs & your done

    • Yeah I made that post way too early, sorry I must have assumed it was bad because it's a 20+ year old thrashed shitbox lol. It was just a loose exhaust bolt.
    • Like others have said, drop the power to give your drivetrain a % of reliability until you can up the drivetrain reliability  It isn't rocket science, build power to the weakest link with a % of safety Whilst upping the the reliability of the drive train is costly, there's no point in having the engine make big power if it keeps eating the drivetrain....ask me how I know, I had the tow truck on speed dial for a few years, and I spent huge amounts of money fixing issues and breakages that really would have been cheaper in the long run if I did it right the first time Me, I like a nice sized fudge factor, that keeps me off the tow truck
    • I don't understand what the issue is with, turn the boost down and start saving $$.  As soon as you can afford the supporting mods, turn the boost back up.  If the car is running fine, enjoy it. Turning the boost down isn't going to kill you.
