Compliance And Rwc

hi guys. i just wanted to know whether getting an RWC is the same as the compliancing thing. my friend says his mechanic gives an RWC for $30, but some people tell me compliancing is $2k? are they the same. for cars newly imported. cheers

No, they are very different.

Compliance refers to work required for vehicles that have been imported before they can be road registered. (ie installation of side intrusion bars, new tyres, fuel filler neck replacement, child anchorage points etc)

RWC is the equivilent of a pink slip here in NSW which is just a basic safety check of your car prior to re-registration.
