By the way, those photos are of coogee in case we didnt get that far, the coogee bay hotel is about a block further up the road. I live in Maroubra and im getting really pissed off at this whole thing, im also in the navy so im tempted to get the beach cleared of innocent bystanders, tell em to have a riot and then finish it with some good old naval gunfire, 5" wake up call anyone

Yea.. its annoying how so many hwy cars from all over sydney are around Maroubra now all patrolling anzac pde and maroubra road..

Esp. all parked around the maroubra police station.

Cops have way too much power...

Sunday arvo/night went to Coogee for a drive with a few mates and cars, ( yes, we do look like "wogs" ) and we got pulled over twice , and approached by 3 sets of police units, we had to surrender our mobile phones as they went through our inbox looking for suspicios msgs, whoever passed that mobile law should be punched, its pointless and a invasion of privecy,

most cops were nice and funny, had a bit of a lugh around with them but this mobile search law has just crossed the line in my opinion

Are you serious? mobile phone msgs searches? omg...

Knowing that the cops are cracking down in an area that's been front page news internationally because of race riots, didn't you and your "ethnic-looking" mates reconsider driving your loaded up, hoon-infamous, grey import smack bang into the place?

I don't wanna sound like I'm having a shot at you personally, because don't care if you're "wog looking" or someone who happens to just be dressed up to play for your Angry Anderson / Rose Tattoo tribute band, if you look like one of the two races involved in the riots and you go into the middle of the "trouble zone".....then I'm sorry but you deserve all the police scrutiny you get.

Seriously, its like ignoring all 3 signs that precede a fixed speed camera in an accident black spot and blowing past it at 20km/hr over the limit, and then having a whinge about the revenue raising when the fine inevitably rolls in.

You were warned it was there. You knew what to expect. That you walked into it goes to show that you either wanted to get busted, or you're oblivious to the world around you.

or that, despite it all, they still want to have a life!!!

agreed, i wouldn't just waltz into those areas.. i'd be cautious and fine with the cop scrutiny if i did (at least they are watching out for me).. but i still wouldn't let it stop me living my life...

if i drove there and there were large groups hanging around.. i'd be outta there!! but for a lazy sunday drive to a nice beach.. i'm so there!

The cops are just using this as excuse to pull people up, i was driving through Kensington on my way to work this morning and got pulled up for suspicion of concealed weapons, they spent half an hour pulling my car apart, left all my shit on the side of the road and left, didnt find anything by the way, then i got my @ss chewed when i got to work for being late. Its just getting to the stage i am wanting to move out of Sydney, ive been here 8 months and i like the place, but im embarassed to say im from here because of a small group of idiots who think that they are in a school playground and playing capture the flags

  • 2 weeks later...
I just got a SMS sent to me.

"Meeting at Newcastle beach & CBD next week for a wog bashing. Bring your Grog, bring your Pole to crack some Skull Next Sunday"

Anyone you pass in the street that looks like a wog take no remorse and smash them.

Anyone wearing a gold chain and driving in their full sick cars Smash them and their cars"

Real Fuc*ing nice.

Skyline cruise to Newy might not be such a good idea!

Gold chain? Fully sick cars? Wog appearance?

Ah f**k I'm screwed

    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
