Guys,

There are multiple posts from people concerned for the safety of their skylines, but still very eager to get their cars out of the garage

The lawrence hardgrave drive was opened up for people to walk over on sunday, but cars can travel on it from monday.

So far ive been through the LH drive 3 times, its a really great short drive (would be a good hillclimb if the road could be closed off) and NOWHERE near the violence affected suburbs

Directions: Head south on princes highway, take the wollongong turnoff (its the 2 left lanes near kirrawee - cant miss, theres signs) follow that for a while (15 mins or so depending on traffic). the LH drive turnoff is well signposted and is quite visible from a long way away. go straight through the roundabout then turn right at the first stop sign and enjoy

-Steve

Forget that, you may as well do the drive properly! Take the Royal National Park turnoff at Audley and enjoy the run through there as well. I used to go for a drive through the national park, down through stanwell and along the coast to wollongong pretty much every week when the coast road was open, its magnificent in summer.

Yeah nasho is fun, i left it out cause i thought everybody would have done it already.

Heres my Saturday arvo circuit:

From home to nasho, through nasho to LH drive, down that, through the gong, towards mac pass (up and down that a few times) then back to Sydney

Great way to waste fuel and tyres

I was considering this run as a suggestion for the cancelled Sydney to Newcastle cruise this Sunday. I drive to Wollongong everyday but I take the quicker freeway route. Might try the LH run this weekend.

yeah nasho run is great!!! Had my first drive through there on Sunday after the Xmas cruise!! Soooooooo much fun :)

I went through there on sunday at around 4pm, only saw one white r34 though.

Yeah i totally agree Morgs, an organised cruise through there at the moment is stupidity, but people going by themselves should be ok

There was an XR8 cop car behind me the whole way when i did it the first time, he didnt seem to care. Although if there were 10 more skylines infront of me im sure it would have been a different story

After this whole racial thing dies down i might organise a cruise through there

Last night i was being tailgated by a cop van. seriously, a damn van!

I think it was a hiace? not sure of its name exactly. I couldnt see his lights in the mirror-he was that close. So to get rid of him i changed from 5th to 3rd (which obviously slows down :) ) and didnt touch the brakes. Needless to say he got a shock.

They left me alone after that

In hindsight i shouldnt have done it, but like most skyline owners i was doing nothing wrong and just going home from dinner, definatly not in the mood for being hassled

If you take the alternative back roads, you can virtually avoid all the hot spots and still cruise on down to wollongong. Or could even stop short of there and go to Tawradgi Beach which is a nice and quiet place to park.

Alford's Point Rd then the Bangor By-Pass and then onto the Princes Highway and the National Park, then LH Drive and back onto Princes H/way.

^^^ To all those interested in the Nasho run, please be advised that some friends of mine happened to notice a huge sign out near Kirrawee McDonalds that police are now targeting speeding in the national park...

So just be careful when your in there

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
