ah most likely not me then. I was passing ferntree gully bunnings at 6pm on ferntree gully road, heading towards Stud rd. Would have noticed a r33 if it was next to me!

most likely be me again! Havent driven the car in months haha 2 spottings in one day! Where were you?
  6. are you talking about the small vacuum hose attached to the standard bov? This is the vacuum hose which opens the BOV. By blocking it off, you will be stopping the BOV opening and hence will result in fluttering. Although not sure what damage it could cause? Wouldnt be any different from running with no bov i reckon... Someone confirm this.

haha yeah got my compliance certificate and was on my merry way. Stock as a rock!
  8. haha everyone who sits in the passenger seat always plays with the passenger airvent, flicking it up and down ~_~
  9. haha yeah. In the EPA guidelines, larger injectors are illegal regardless if you can make them meet emission test at idle. The other option is to engineer the injectors but would need to involve a full ADR emission test which costs $1600 for the test. (this would involve emissions beyond a simple idle test like the EPA inspections do.) Not worth the trouble, easier to just swap them over.
  10. yup lol I went in with nistune and a fuelmap which made the larger injectors pass emissions. Although he didnt like the colour of the purple injectors and said they had to be red ~_~
  11. I bought some from Bunnings. Not sure if i got the correct ones, just some high load ones. Attached them onto each wheel pulling car forward and back.. Heard this is the best way as the suspension still sways but wheels wont move anywhere?

haha that was me, getting a full epa inspection
  13. car is officially EPA cleared as of 11am today! Thank f**k. All he did was open the bonnet, see that there were red injectors in there. Took a photo of the injectors, engine bay, front and rear of car and asked for $38 retest fee -___- Should have just painted my ones red instead of swapping. Least we know the extent of checking. No injector duty cycle measurement etc Car is bog stock now
  14. how time flies! Bump
  15. yup, you could also buy some octane booster from repco etc, and put that into your tank. Wont bring it up to 98, but it may be better than 91
  16. kill it with fire! Got yourself some detonation issues there my friend lawls.
  17. They said that I should fit red rb20 injectors and not the rb25 injectors I have now? Unless he meant rb26? Rb25's are sidefeed
  18. I'll see how closely he will check at re-inspection, if he will check duty cycle or just check the colour
  19. So I failed the EPA lol. Told me that I should have red rb20 injectors fitted they know their colours. Passed co2 emissions with the sards and standard exhaust was 89db lol. Told me to throw on some red injectors and will sign it off. As I was walking back to the mechanic, a hwy patrol pulled out of the mechanic. I hope he didn't have a poke around lol. An unmarked was there getting a service, so hope he had the same lol don't think I can be stuffed putting the sards back in after this...
  20. yup 15psi actuator instead of bleedvalve haha
  21. I live in Knox and use it as a daily hence the pwnage lol
  22. not even, its illegal to sell the car with an EPA notice on it lawl
  23. hmm received letter today saying rego will be suspended if EPA not cleared by 15th October. Its actually signed by some guy. They mean serious business!
  24. just cause it can be used between multiple brands of cars doesnt mean they have put the effort to make them a lug centric design. Speedy Wheels for example proves that. Lets say that even if the rim is lug centric design, i believe there will be no damage caused when using hub locating rings. After all, the rings just position the wheel into the centre of the hub. If you then screwed in the wheel nuts, they will go directly in and not push the wheel into the centre as it is already there. Therefore the nuts will serve their purpose of holding the wheel in place... Hence for anyone who is unsure, hub locating rings will just make fitting of the wheels easier even if you have a lug centric wheel.. yes i know they made for nissan, why else would i say thats the best ive seen for an aftermarket fitment...
  25. wtf you on about? the majority of any aftermarket rims arent lug centric and will require hub locating rings. The best they will do is have the diametre the same as the axle hub (for example LMGT4's are direct fit onto the axle hub) and oil in engine is referring to having an oily air intake...
