  1. Happy Birthday! Hope you have a great day!
  2. I will be going with Will (Japtaxi). I think he plans to go both Sat and Sun.
  3. Hey! I am from Nagoya too..just a quiet member
  4. I have para-chan on my laptop too! I can click on him and try and get money. I get more money if he eats food and gets bigger.
  5. It will be what you make of it. You can choose to go to any area and have a good time.
  6. Happy Birthday Erin Hope you have a great birthday and holiday!
  7. Even when you live here, some places you can survive with very minimal Japanese. I do not know much at all and have lived here almost a year now. If I really need help, plenty of people can help me at work. It would be nice to know some polite words for a holiday but not necessary. It all depends what areas you are travelling in and what you want to do here.
  8. I have been in Japan for almost a year now. I recently decided that I would stay for another year. Can't be such a bad place if I wanna stay here for longer. I just feel that I am not ready to go home and start my life yet. For me, living in Japan is a bit of break from reality. I have had many positive experiences here but I also understand some of the other stuff you mentioned in the other thread. I can't imagine lving here for as long as you have, Australia will always be my home. Mostly the people have been great here. They are always so polite and friendly. I am lucky to work for a great company who has been really helpful. When it came to negotiations to recontract, a few decided not to do it. Mostly because of the Japanese politics involved in it all. Where I work, we have 2 sets of rules. 1 for the foreigners and 1 for the Japanese staff. Being a foreigner, I usually get the better deal compared to my Japanese coworkers. I am looking forward to visiting in August, the first time since I came here last August. I hope you enjoy being back home for good Rezz!

    Visiting Japan

Wow! Some of that $40M was a waste in my opinion. I like the pavilion but it could still be better. It has 3 parts - the first part is pretty boring. Nobody understands it. Oh and for English listeners, we get to stand in a box taped in the back corner. Ever since I moved here, it has been all about Expo. Will be stange in September when there is no more Expo here. I could belive that 15 million will attend. It can get very busy sometimes. Do u have a reservation for some of the corporate pavilions? I assume you are coming here for work purposes then?

Yeah that is the Australian Pavilion. The Expo site is actually in Nagakute, where I live. Have fun on crowded subways/Linimo to get there. How did u hear about the Expo? Most people at home don't know much about it.

There is a Toyota Automobile Museum in Nagoya...actually more on the outskirts in Nagakute where I live. There is also Expo happening out this way which might be worth a look (nothing to do with cars though).
