Hey mine is in the exact same location however mine is bolted to the steering wheel column thingy... however i guess a cop can see it if they look thru the window of your car...

so it cant be anywhere above the steering wheel? i cant see how that would affect anything. its not in your vision.. to create a blind spot. well i guess its not like any of their other rules make sense hey? i'm depressed now. i like where it is now... but then again if it isnt the boost guage they will defect me for something else anyway. but TLAI909 says he's been pulled over many times..... or is he just lucky?

Hey all just wondering if it is legal to have yor boost guage anywhere.. i heard its illegal to have them on your pillar but i have mine coming off the steering wheel it doesnt block my vision or anything and its in good view.. u cant see the bottom of the temp guauge thas all.. what do you guys think? is this Legal?? like anything you do to your car........probably not.

i got a quote of $2000 wit Famous 23 0% no claim bonus 94 R33 GTST Can anyone clear the NO parking over night on the street thing i know this was in the other post.. but i got the policies book, and all it says is no parking on the street between 11pm- 8am.. it doesnt say anything like at yoiur house.. i rang them up and asked them they said it only applied at your residency, but the policy book doesnt outline this.. its only their word... hmmm what u guys thing?

This brings back so many memories, after being told that my car was on the ship and it would not arrive for another 4 weeks i got suspicious... after ringing around a few ports in Sydney and Brisbane, they assured me that ships from Japan take about 2 weeks to get here.. i went back to my broker and told him this however he assured me that the ship would take 4 weeks... what annoyed me the most was the fact that he just didnt seem to really care as he already had my money..... after constant nagging.. he finally chased it up for me and found out that the ship was coming in the next day (which was 2 weeks) so lucky i got him to chase it up otherwise the car would have been sitting on the Dock...and i would have had to pay storage fees... then i find that the Radio and Gear Knob and been stolen... he told me that the car was insured but the radio and stuff inside wasnt.. of cause i bitched and complained but what can you do??? So just be careful ppl.. get everything in writing.... i learnt the hard way.. we are talking about thousands of hard earned dollars here so get it all written down...

HEy all i remember reading somewhere that if you install a turbo timer, then this could be very handy for thieves as it gives then to two wiring looms to steal your car.... Is this true and also to what extent? i mean if you have a 3 point immobiliser then doesnt the turbo timer show them the ignition cables in which case they will still need to disable 2 more points? Most thieves already know which is the ignition.. .. could someone please help me out... Thanks all.

Hey all, Got my timing belt changed for $100, A friend of the family is a mechanic and he's opening shop in a few weeks. the belt itslef cost me $100 so all up $200 not bad... he sayd normally he charges $150 for the labour.. not bad hey? The car runs really smooth...

hey, I dont think it will bolt straight on. I went and got my exhaust and there were heaps of exhausts there marked R33 and R32 so i guess they must be different.. i was going to get the hks super drager, but the guy said he only had one in stock and it was for an R32. Damn man if you were in Sydney go to JustJap they have a huge range of 2nd hand jap exhaust. I got a Ganador 3.5in catback.. never heard of em b4 but i did a search on the net couldnt find much but the apparently spose to be a good jap brand exhaust.. it was in great condiditon looked like it hadn't been used stainless steel all the way to the cat... and still very shiny.. not sure which model exhaust i got.. the only ones i could find on the net .. same brand (ganador) was a titanium one... its looks the same as mine but i doubt mine is titanium...

Well the compliance guys said that they need to change the cat anyway for compliancing and that for an extra $100 i can get a hi-flow one.. but i just had a look... the actual cat isnt that much bigger than the exhaust pipe.. i'm not sure if my exhaust is 3in or 3.5in.. it looks pretty big though....

Hey all i was just wondering if there is anyway to tell if you have a hi-flow cat or not... When i got my car complied i told them to put a hi-flow cat on. But when i got the exhaust done the cat looks kinda small.. hmmm.. any help??? Thanks

HEy all, Just got a new catback exhaust system and while unbolting the old system we found a cable that has a bot type this which you screw into the exhaust.. does anyone know what this thing is called or what is does.. as the new system we have did nothave a plug or hole to screw it into.. we asked the exhaust place and they said usually the ole is in the cat and you screw it into there.. if anyone can help i would really appreciate it thanks.. oh i got a ganador exhaust system anyone heard of these b4???

Hey i imported my R33 a few months ago.. all went well except my Radio and gearknob got stolen.. so prolly best to get them to send it separately as well... i learnt the hard way.. OF course the insurance was a hassle so i didnt bother going thru with it.. but yeah make sure you get what you paid for.. be very careful.. those sneaky ppl on the boat. Also i was suppose to get 2 sets of keys but i only got one set.. i guess when they stole the radio they must of stole the other key opened the door took the radio and gear knob and threw away the key. Anyway yeah just be careful about things like that..

Hey all, Just wanted to know what you guys would recommend. for around $800 i can either get a 2nd hand catback exhaust Jap brnad like hks or Apexi trust etc, or would you recommend i get a new one made up by an exhaust shop??? would there be that much of a performance difference??? i can go to a place like liverpool exhaust or something and they can make one up for me for around that price too.. i already have a hi flow cat... any help would be appreciate as i want to get my exhaust done soon. hey all i was wondering if anyone has problems with their speedo or odometer.. does anyone elses read incorrectly??? sometimes i sit on 60kmph but every1 overtakes me.. surely not everyone is speeding... Also i've onbly had my car for about 2 months and i only drive it on weekends really, and already its telling me i've done about 3000Kms can the odometer be out as well?? i'm concerned about this as its adding Kms to my car which arent real Kms.. any help would be appreciated .. thanks all.

Hey all i was wondering if anyone can help me. Just imported my car and its finally fully registered and on the road.. its done 103,000km, what should i change?? I think the compliance ppl changed the engine oil, filters etc... but i couldnt find a sticker saying the timing belt has been changed... does anyone know if the timing belt is expensive or where i can get one from? I have an R33 gtst and was wondering when to change engine oil, gearbox oil.. etc and which oil to use for the different thing. HEy guys, just wondering if anyone has this turbo timer Blitz Dual turbo timer DC II, i'm thinking of getting it as i dont yet have a boost gauge for my car and was thinking migth as well get it as save myself getting a boost gauge... does anyone know how good the boost gauage in on this turbo timer?? i'm thinking either that or the hks type 1, as i kinda like the 0-400m thing and speedo reading...... also i have a problem.. not sure if this is the cause of it but i have 17in rims with 255 on the back, and i think my speedo maybe out.. for example if i'm driving at say 100km/h on the freeway then everyone still overtakes me.. even old ladies and stuff that look like they would be doing the speed limit.. surely not everyone is speeding.. but everyone overtakes me... anyway does anyone know how to fix this problem or will the speedo reading in the hks turbo timer give me a more accurate reading?? thanks all sorry for the long post.

Hey all, Can anyone suggest any insurance company that can insure me? I'm after 3rd party, i have a R33 GTST stock except for rims, and i rang up Just Car and they qutoed me $614 ... WTF?? for 3rd party!!!! and Suncorp wont insure anyone with an import who's under 25... I'm 23 by the way!!! so if anyone can help or let me know how much they paying for 3rd party insurance....
