  2. if its bolt in then it wont be CAMS approved
  3. Well I got it done at a workshop, my HICAS light isnt on but my ABS light is ? Nek Minnit ?
  4. Just realised I posted this in For Sale Car Parts, not in the For Sale Other . Mods can you maybe move this for us ?
  5. Hey guys, Selling my fridge on gumtree, if anybody is after one in Adelaide let me know. Price is negotiable and would like a quick sale as its in the way. http://www.gumtree.com.au/m-my-ad.html?adId=1012769332 Cheers
  6. Managed to find Jaycar's fuel resistant heat shrink kit . 3.95 it's cheaper than the normal stuff at super cheap ! For 10 minutes work I will change it over . Good soldering practice at least ... Lol
  7. http://www.compsystems.com.au/news/925-prodnews/134-dr25.html Looks the go , just hoped I could source this within 24 hours otherwise I will have to put my fuel pump back together and redo the work again when I get the right shrink tube .. So why does this stuff exist if it wasn't an issue with normal tubing ? (don't want to be the devils advocate here , just curious mate )
  8. So what I get from that thread is that normal heathrink is fine aberax ?
  9. Tried lookin on Jaycars website, just looks like the normal gear. I fitted a walbro pump last night and used only normal heatshrink.... then realised the potential for it to melt away from exposure to fuel.... :-(
  10. FFS , I hate reading stuff like this. If someone is pissed off with you it doesnt excuse a gutless act like this, you got beef with somebody talk to them ! geez these days with social media, sms messaging, fax , telegram, morse code or two tin cans and string... one would think you could have a yarn and work your gripes out ! Nah, smashing some poor bastards window with a hammer on xmas night is the way to go !
  11. Hey Kristian I thought AJD was an invitational event ?
  12. Hey guys, Recently just installed a Blitz Dual SBC Spec S into my 33, I havent had alot of experience with them but from what I gather there is max pressure, gain etc that I can set on it. The problem I have, is the car isnt complied so setting it up and tuning it on the streets is not an option. It will be a while before I get to a track day and not sure if thats the right forum to set the thing up either as I wont be going a track speed while I configure it and could end up becoming more of a hazard on the track to others. So my question is, has anybody done this on a dyno successfully using this model controller ? , what settings did you use for a stock R33 RB25DET ?
  13. Attempted this last night with not alot of success. I couldn't "crack" the 4 sided rod out of the HICAS unit . The HICAS bar I brought still has the arms in it , now I know why ! It's going to need persuasion of the vice kind I reckon ! . So I thought seeing my bar had arms already , that I would just remove the HICAS system as one whole unit . Well that didn't happen because one of the nuts was rusted shut , it started to round off which is when I stopped . Put my HICAS back in , cracked a beer and called it a day . Thinks I might just get a workshop to put it in and wheel align at the same time . It seems what should have been a simple job ended up being a pain in my arse . Can anybody in Adelaide recommend a workshop that is happy to put a HICAS lock bar in with wheel alignment without robbing me ?
  14. hehehehe, plenty to choose from now !
  15. Thats fkn gold ! ...... well orange and cream !
  16. I think Dohmar is correct, I do remember Gil's name being thrown around. Pretty sure it was a roller dyno from memory, it was behind Maccas at enfield.
  17. just read this from yesterdays ! A MAN armed with a "sharp object" stole a car from another man at Christies Beach. The driver had parked his car on Dyson Rd, near the intersection of Erin St, about 9.15pm last night, when a man opened the driver's side door and threatened him with what was described as a sharp object. The offender then drove off in the victim's car - a black 1994 Nissan Skyline, registration BB-658S - north along Dyson Rd. He was described as Caucasian, aged in his 30s, of skinny build, with short light-brown hair and wearing a dull orange jacket and cream trousers. Anyone with information about this incident should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.sa.crimestoppers.com.au.
  18. On adelaidenow today, Police said two off duty officers saw the stolen Nissan Skyline pulling into a supermarket carpark, just off of Brighton Rd at Seacliff, at 8pm. They watched the driver get out of the car, wearing gloves, and walking towards the supermarket as the owners were closing up for the night. The officers pulled up behind the stolen car and approached the driver. He ran back to the stolen car and locked the doors. One of the officers smashed the driver's side window to arrest the man, but he reversed into their car before driving off. The officer suffered minor cuts to his hands. Police continue to look for the stolen car. The public are warned not to approach the car if they see the Black 1994 Nissan Skyline with registration BB658S but call the Police Assistance line on 131 444 or report their information to crime stoppers on 1800 333 000.
  19. Hey guys, I am looking for some dyno time just to do some of my own tuning after installing some mods, I vaguely remember a mate doing it years ago on a dyno just off main north road near blair athol. Anybody know the place, or know of a place that might let me do it ? Not looking to book the whole day or anything, just a couple of hours of time to play and then a power run at the end.
  20. Cancel that, scored A18-A72 MB6 91 300ZX (late) N M F Z32-VG30DE 23710-30P60 from ebay USA for $30 ..... thats only $300 cheaper than Japco and $240 cheaper than Japanese Import Spares, Adelaide Z cars and Nisswreck.. :-)
  21. Ah, so the 33 instructions one page 1 by Geoff are accurate . Thanks for clearing that up gotRICE? .
  22. I hate to revive an old thread, but I will be fitting a HICAS lock bar to my S1 R33 GTST. The instructions on page 1 seem a little outdated given the comments in the rest of the thread, alot of people are doing alot of different things about the power steering lines etc. Has anybody done on a 33 recently, what did you do and were you happy with the outcome ?
  23. Indeed...... Or in my case, -R33 GTST Series 1 1993 -Auto when I got it -149,000kms -17's -Alloy radiator with thermo's -Basic pioneer stereo -Slotted disc's $2500 (non complied, race/rally use only) I am not ethnic or consider myself fully sik, but you cant argue with the bang for buck out of a second hand R33. My car will be used only for sprints, hillclimbs, motorkhanas etc . For not alot of money I got it converted to manual , done the exhaust , EBC, Fuel pump , Steering wheel etc. , its a good platform with reliable power , handling and braking. I would never get one this cheap/rough for a daily, but for something to give some sh1t.... well played sir.
