  1. Where were you Kirstie - I really must drive with my eyes open more as I never see you !!!
  2. Saw white Stagea at Kingsway SC around 6:30 tonight
  3. From memory the "snow" button changes the gearing (eg not using 1st) to reduce power to the wheels and less chance of wheel spin in the slippery conditions Something like that as far as I know Where abouts are ya?
  4. Whilst for some it is easy to do an install for others they either don't want to or would prefer someone else to do it. Changing head units is something I have done myself but installing amps and subs not done that plus I had full alarm system installed that I wasn't going to tackle. Guess if you want to do it yourself, do so otherwise pay for someone to do it for you. Cheers, Al
  5. Yep that would have been me, yeah rims still looking new so nice and shiny - just got to keep them that way
  6. Just put some of the MA-Z1's on the Stagea in 235/40/18s and grip seems good and I find them quieter than the Nankangs that were on the OEM rims. Grip is good but haven't had them long enough to comment on wet weather performance or durability. Good tyre none the less
  7. Spotted a green Stag on Mitchell Fwy going south near Hepburn Ave around 10:15 this morning

  9. Just recently had a new deck, sub and amps installed into my Stagea by someone recommended by the shop. I used Install All in Wangara and was very impressed. Received really good service and advice and the quality was excellent. Also installed new alarm system with extra features that were a surprise. Would recommend him to anyone. He hadn't seen a Stagea before so with the help of some posts on here he worked it out for the wiring, etc. He was most impressed with the quality of the Stagea (particularly the wiring) and so much so, he wants to buy one for his wife to replace the Impreza. I told the owner, Marty that I would post something on the forum (which I put him onto) about the experience, so here it is. His contact details are: [email protected] or 0419 990 070 Cheers Al

  11. Spotted silver Series 1 on Mitchell Fwy (right lane) near Vincent St exit heading north about 6:00pm tonight
  12. Finally sorted this out and on the weekend got me some 235/40/18 tyres wrapped around some shiny new 18x8 rims. Feel and handling is much improved over the previous setup. All I got to do now is reduce the nose up - will come once paid this off and can get new shocks and springs How it used to look How it looks now Close Up Cheeres, Al
  13. Went past a white Series 1 heading north up Moolanda Blvd around 3:00pm today. I was in the silver Stagea the other that waved but couldn't see whether they waved back.
  14. I thought the stock offset on a stagea was +40 (well that is what the manual says anyway) and that is for a 16x7 rim
  15. As Mike said depending on other things, you can get fined for 2kmh over the limit in WA so having it as close to OEM is a factor over here. So it seems a toss up between 225 and 235's without any mention of the 245's - would 245's actually fit?
  16. Luke, yeah it is in relation to speedo accuracy to get the closest to the OEM diameter Logan, my tyre placard has both the 205/55/16 and 225/50/16 on it and I have the 225's on there at the moment So still divided opinion it seems
  17. Having likely found the wheels to get, now the question of tyre size arises. OEM tyres on a S2 Stagea is 225/50/16 which gives a diameter of 631.19mm Looking at 18" x 8" rims Possible tyre choices (based on 1010tires.com) are: 225/40/18 - diameter of 637.03mm 235/40/18 - diameter of 645.16mm 245/40/18 - diamater of 653.03 (per tyre retailer) 245/35/18 - diameter of 628.65mm Therefore based on the above, it seems the closest tyre would be the 245/35.18 and then the 225/40/18 (although have noticed in previous threads that the 225/40/18 seems to be the recommended tyre size). Will check with dealer on the 245/35/18 size. The tyre retailer also stated that the 225/40/18 would be too small in overall diameter whereas the above suggests it is actually a larger diameter than the OEM version. For those who are running 18" rims (or just know this stuff) can you advise on what tyre sizes you are running and whether you have noticed any problems? Any help woule be appreciated Cheers, Al
  18. Mine does it as well but usually only at higher speeds when at a constant pace - eg on the freeway. Some times it is noticable other times not
  19. I am from Perth but hardly see any around (apart from the cruise yesterday) so maybe they all hide from me !!!
  20. Thanks Kirstie for organising the cruise and the map, etc - was a fun day and my son couldn't wait to get home to tell his mum !!! Was good to see more new faces, oh and the old ones too Until the next one Cheers, Al
  21. Brad Any indication of how much this would cost to do? Cheers, Al
  22. Was at Bob Jane T-Marts today (having a look around) and they had RJR wheels, one of which was the ones in their latest catalogue, the RJR Graphic. These look pretty good for a standard mesh style wheel. Does anyone know much about these wheels, are they okay (I know they are cheaper than the Jap brands and may not be as good) but they do seem okay for the price. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thinking of the 18x8's but with better tyres than the package has. They also confirmed that fitment is the same as the BA Falcon Cheers, Al
  23. Nice car - another different colour and the front grille looks cool Welcome to the ever growing list of Stageas in Perth
