Sounds like a great event, unfortunately I cant attend.. I am joining my son and his school collecting for the Red Shield Appeal.. Hope all of us give big to the Salvo's this weekend..

Mike, what a terrific effort by all for such a great cause. Makes me wonder if we should nominate a charitable cause for a number of the run's we do as a club..

Tony, I have, but i will pay a further 2 x $25 tomorrow for the event/sausage in bread etc..

Agreed Wardski, Cant believe that extremely "Bodgy" work underneath the car in those photos. I agree with the guys above, How the hell did he let it get to $250K worth of poor work before blowing the whistle.. Crikeys, he could have bought 2 additional US 2014 GTR's for that sort of money. Mike.

Jason, didnt see that in the Manual.. Hey 2 new Rears for $1260 is a great deal, did you go for the Dunlop OEM's that were on the car when you got? Where did you get them for $1260 a rear pair ? Tirerack ?

Daniel , fair point.. Changing Marques if you have always been a Henry owner would be tough.. I must admit after having: 2 Chryslers, 1 Ford, 1 Toyota, 1 Mitsubishi, 1 Holden, 2 BMW's, 2 Nissan 350Z's, 1 Honda, 2 HSV's and now the GTR i have lost my connection to any one Brand.. BTW: You got a GT-Blue R35 as well ?

Have had my R35 for 4 months now, Sold my 3yr old HSV E2 Clubsport R8 as part of the process of upgrading. I loved the HSV, but I must admit i havent missed driving the HSV because of the constant pleasure / surprise in driving the R35.. Sounds like both your Henry's are mighty beasts, but frankly you could re-do that sort of work on base model's anytime into the future, therefore i think you should sell the fords and keep the GTR. . I would however keep an eye on whether Ford brings out a GT-HO in these next couple of years (FG-Mk3 or whats next) to give there FPV a Kick-along.. That would be worth serious thought !! Given how much i enjoy V8 Supercar, my biggest dilmena is do i support my long followed HRT Team or make a clean brake on the Nissan Teams. I have decided to follow both , but HRT is still my primary team at the moment..

Jason, unless the tyres are very new, you should always replace Tyres in pairs (Ie: Front Pair or Rear Pair ).. If you dont , you may end up with different grip profiles with a new and worn tyre from left to right, and you also have differing rolling circumferences which may put further strain on the Diffs. But you should get the Dealer to really check whats going on with the Tyre thats going down before making any changes.. (It could be as simple as a faulty valve)

Jason, that sounds strange.. What pressures are you running them Cold ? I run mine around 32PSI cold, and i have noticed all the tyres have lost approximately 1psi over the past 7 weeks. (Could be colder climate).. But to lose pressures to the point of Low Pressure on the Dash indicator after a week doesnt sound right, Have you manually checked the tyre pressures to see if the Pressure Monitoring system was right there is a low pressure problem ? If tyre pressures checked via Gauge is OK, you may need the TPMS sensors reset, which i believe is a something you need the Dealer to do ..

Docc, i was told by Shipstones (QLD GTR Approved Repairer) that if i damage my rims they cannot match the colour of the rim in repair, they basically said if you damage the rim, its a new rim. Apparently its a 5 layer paint process with some different colours. I however did come across this entry on the GTROC site in the UK which talks about a Black Edition 2009 rim colour match, dont know if thats the same as your 2009.. Anyway here it is ? Great Phil, will be great to see you at future SAU events, its a bit lonely being the only R35 there. Have you registered and paid for the sprints at Lakeside, i think they were close to finalising given the restriction of numbers they had.. I am not at the point of tracking my GTR yet. Wardski, hadnt heard about the Brisbane Super Car Club, but had a look of them on Facebook. Give us a yell next time they have a run you are going on, perhaps Phil and I can also join you and try to help balance up the Japanese vs Italian ratio..

Wardski, Had a look on US Tirerack site as they are selling both models, the Tread Pattern looks different, and the Front Tyre OD looks slightly larger.. Also found this in the Description of the R2: "The Potenza RE070R R2 RFT uses a revised asymmetric tread design that features wider, lower void outboard shoulders derived from the tires delivered as Original Equipment on the Nissan GT-R SpecV in Japan. Other QLD R35 Owners, I have just joined the SAU QLD Club and are starting to join in the Club events.. A great Mixture of People, Ages and Cars. (Mixture of R31,32,33,34's GTR and Non GTR's.). Yesterday we had a "Run" from Brisbane - Toowoomba - Esk - Brisbane with a break for lunch. Around 25 Cars, well organised and a lot of fun.. Outside the other scheduled events, they will be scheduling other run's to other parts of the Southeast corner. Why dont you join us, we need more R35's in the club..
