  1. Glad you got a chuckle out of my mask there
  2. Thanks! Looking forward to it more now some major work got done on my baby
  3. Have the details for the east side meet been confirmed out of interest?
  4. Saw a white s2 c34 yesterday mid-morning right near the southern entrance to the gateway on wynnum rd turning right
  5. Put a new radiator in my beast today. It seems to have fixed my heat soak under load on the highway problem. The coolant I dropped from it was still quite brown even after the mechanic was instructed to flush it after doing the welch plugs. So I did a reverse flush with the old radiator and got rid of some more crap from the engine. Installed the new radiator with some small difficulties but all in all not too bad for a mid-range aftermarket one. Needle didn't move much on my highway test run, hoorah! Also pulled the wheels off I got with the car, one tyre was down to the canvas Put some ford territory steel wheels on instead, they'll do until I save some more money up
  6. Got any idea on the brand/supplier of the dash mat for the RS4? I need one to keep the glare out of my eyes and don't know where to buy from. Thanks!
  7. More looking for something to drop in and bolt up as this is my daily driver. Looking at Koyo or Fenix for now.Any retailers in Brisbane anyone can recommend so i get it done this weekend?
  8. Thanks; didn't know Koyo was OEM. Yeah, I'm starting to question some things they've said or maybe, not said and done. Regardless I've decided to buy a radiator (probably off ebay) and fit it myself for now and go back to see what they want to do about my stall issue that didn't exist before this work was done.
  9. Can't seem to edit original post, so Edit - useable link : for more info http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/carina-heights/property-for-rent/camp-hill-housemate-needed-/1029400500
  10. Thanks, I've heard some people like em. PWR was recommended as the top notch ones from the mechanic (~$900!)
  11. Not by me, the mechanic might have... Pretty good. Previous owner had a oilable one in the factory airbox which I keep reasonably clean, though I havent cleaned and re-oiled in about 6 months, maybe ~6000kms. Idle seems fine, ~650 rpm when up to running temp The AFR guage (aftermarket - previous owner) on the dash indicates not lean or rich at cruising speeds. Not sure on a good way to guage richness off the top of my head?
  12. Haven't noticed any difference in brake pedal. I'll do some checks on it...
  13. Hi SAU, I'm in need of a house mate as the last one has moved out. I'm a full-time worker living in a 3 bedroom medium sized house in the suburb of Camp Hill. 5mins to shops, pub, transport and anything else you'd probably need. There's plenty of driveway to park in and the common areas of the house are furnished, you only need to bring your own bedroom furnishings! http://www.gumtree.com.au/m-my-ad.html?adId=1027049931 for more info
  14. Hmmmm... so is it possible that if enough air isn't flowing could this ruin mixture and maybe flood the engine? Braking hard and it stalling on me makes me very confused...
  15. Hahahah oh dear that story sounds terrible.Sorry mate, it's a manual (factory RS-FOUR-S) so I believe there is no tranny cooling you mention.
  16. Edit: i'm in QLD and not an SAU paid member Had a quick ebay browse last night and i can see 'mishimoto', 'koyo' and some other ones that allegedly fit the WGNC34. Thinking I might just buy one of these and fit it myself. Another interesting thing to note; if I brake really suddenly the engine stalls... mechanic mentioned it might be the AFM recognises the lack of airflow and the ECU thinks the ignition has been switched off...
  17. This skidpan is in Gympie? I think I'm following you on Facebook, it looks hella fun
  18. Found one on Nengun: http://www.nengun.com/blitz/racing-radiator-type-zs Total price after selecting shipping etc: $548.95...
  19. I've used the same stuff and used all of the sealant on both headlights and now after about 5 months they're starting to yellow again. Probably need to source some more sealer from somewhere...
  20. So here's an update on my stagea. Mechanics have done a bunch of work - replaced 4 welch plugs on that side of the block - replace crank seals - replace cam seals - replace timing belt - replace thermostat - replace water pump - replaced inner cv boots - replaced turbo (stock v45 i supplied as the old one had a terrible whine) - fit supplied aftermarket oil filter re-location kit (inner feed tube thing was too big to fit in the block apparently ) - flush water - replace oil & filter Picker her up last friday arvo and got it home late that night. Did some driving around on Saturday morning all good. When for a trip down to the gold coast and had it overheat quite bad once and not so bad three other times afterwards... only on the highway @ ~110km/h under load and not in peak hour traffic. Saw the mechanics again this morning and they've basically confirmed my fears the original factory radiator is either blocked/getting blocked. They flushed it once after doing the welch plugs and when I got them to have a quick look today the water under the cap is starting get very brown again. Couldn't see an obvious leak/crack or excess pressure build-up so we're only assuming this is the problem so far. Can anyone recommend some replacement radiators that I should look at? The mechanic suggested not anything much more than 45mm thick as this could restrict the airflow too much. I'm thinking that I can get one off the net an replace it my self and flush the system a couple of times. Any thoughts are appreciated, if you've read this far
  21. I could definitely hear that 32 going it; the V35 was a bit quieter
  22. Yeah i thought they should; I've never pushed mine to loose traction as yet 1) because it's a daily and 2) i've never had a large legal area to do it Seems like fun! That's understandable, now i really want to do a skidpan (after i get it running consistent )
  23. it looks good!Is it still AWD in the video? I'm interested in doing a skid pan day in mine and just wanted to know how they go if not in a RWD configuration.
  24. Is that your rig poohkies?
