nah hilly has the magic VL, i cant beat it. Got a GTS head though, so it revs out really well. Much smoother than mine. He thinks it has a higher compression ratio as well, i doubt it. (he did a compression test)

chaos - was done on a closed road. Dont think driver skill came into it, as there wasnt any noticeable change in position when we changed gears. My car sucks off the line, bigtime. No 0-100m or 1/4 mile times, probably 15.4-15.9 between timmay and jason's times. Weight wise - towbar 15kg, 6x9's, rear seats 10kg, spare/jack fair bit. Dont know really. floody - grab the rear squab and just pull it out. Undo the 2 bolts either side of the bottom right of the backrest. Then fold the middle of the backrest down so you have access to the boot, and right down the bottom there are 2 x 10mm i think nuts holding it on. Lift the backrest upwards as it has tabs in the rear parcel shelf, then pull it out. Done.

40k for an R34 GTT, 30k left over for insurance etc. If you cant end up with a GTT and 20k something is very wrong. Guys, if you were 18 and had heaps of $, what would you do? Buy a 34 GTT thats what! Love it.

you will notice a big improvement with good pads (racebrakes rb74's) slotted rotors and good fluid. You could just get GTST hubs rotors and callipers all round I believe. hubs and callipers 2nd hand, get new slotted rotors. Use the R33 GTST master cylinder too. I havent been in the car with you, so I dont know how you go with the brakes. For most people, rotors/fluid/pads will be enough. Cheaper too! the hub change gives you 5 stud, and bigger brakes are better. Both are good options.

3 rolling start drags. 3rd gear. R31 RB30E vs R33 GTS RB25DE R31 : 3 R33 : 0 when we both got a good start it was VERY close. Didnt rev the 31 over 5000rpm (power dies off) 31 - extractors exhaust panel filter butchered airbox and timing, no rear seats/speakers or anything in boot. 33 - extractors full exhaust and maybe a pod, full interior. Very wierd, didn't expect that result. I reckon he would probably take me from a standing start. :uh-huh:

Probably a typo or something. You could have just looked on the car to see what year it was built. Sounds like a turbo import. 86-88 or thereabouts.

I have wiring diagrams. I just hooked up the right wire to the plug in the engine bay. R31 though. Electrically, very simple, you just need to connect the right wire/s.

Nebo has a much better surface than tambo. Some of the gold coast hinterland mentioned above is good also. Go to the end of Nebo and turn right....long open road. Sunshine coast - maleny, connondale etc also good. There is a BIG Mountain Cruise coming up. Keep an eye out.
