RIP Brocky I am a ford man myself but for Peter I have never had anything but the utmost respect he was always gracious in defeat not that it happened much and a true gentleman when he won. Australia has lost its motoring King. I feel for his kids and his extended family it must be hard for them because he was such a big celebrity they will find it hard to mourn without the media on them 24/7 Take Care Brocky

have you read the aami pds? I have a background in insurance I work as an underwriter for one of the more well known home and contents insurers and reading through other insurance companies policies is something i do quite reguarly so when I go to get car insurance I am very picky. Having read both AAMI's Home and Car and also Just cars product disclosure statments and comparing them to others I can honestly say that I would be very careful insuring with them and when it comes to home and contents I would defiantely insure elsewhere The insurer whom I work for is not the cheapest but has a good product and we get a lot of people who change to AAMI due to their low prices and after the first claim they come straight back to us they find that they are not covered as comprehensively as they first thought. They just assumed as most people do that all insurance policies are the same. This is one of the biggest reasons for complaints to the insurance ombudsmen that people think they are covered for something when they arent. They normally get told that they should have read their PDS. I would be interested in hearing what makes you think that Just Cars (AAMi) is so much better than all the other insurers. I am not endorsing Shannons either as I have not yet had a quote or a chance to read their PDS it is printing at the moment and I will have a gander

import tax is 15% of value of vehicle including the cost of shipping and plus 10% gst. Not sure how you put a current value on the car as you have owned it since new though

only manuals there has never been a power fc made for a nissan auto toyota has one i believe but the nissan shift logic is much harder so the idea of leaving it be and only using the power fc to control the engine is great only problem i can forsee is that auto will shift at inopportune times. but i am most likely wrong maybe sydney kid has some inuput on this one.

that sucks mike why the delay? my compliance workshop called me today to tell me mine is complied and now all they are waiting on is the plate from dotars which they expect next next week so they will ship to perth on the 14th takes 11 days via coastal shipping so by the 25th my baby will be home

guys in brissie called RCN compliance/ Shogun Automotive so far have been very helpful as have Seaway and Ben from J-Spec has made the whole process a lot less of a handful than some people say it is. On the whole at this stage I would definately import this way again
