  1. I had my gearbox rebuilt under warranty a few months back. Cost $1900 all up including 2 new synchros in 2nd and 3rd. These synchros are dual synchros. I had new bearings installed as well. Try some Red Line gearbox oil, its about $100 for 5 litres which apparently helps worn synchros a lot. The problem your experiencing is very common amongst skylines.
  2. Adam32: Why be so negative all the time? Please supply us with your inconclusive proof that bleed valves dont bring on boost earlier. Did you test this yourself or are you just going on what others have said? I myself have a DNA Motorsports bleed valve ($89) I have noticed boost comes on earlier then the factory solenoid. It holds boost spot on 10psi without any spike. Therefore I can not justify spending $500+ on an EBC when an $89 bleed valve does everything I want. Try and keep your reply civil.
  3. I used the mguires fine cut cleaner on the plastic instrument cluster cover. Worked a treat.
  4. Sounds like a decent price. What are R33 front cuts worth these days?
  5. Interesting. I didn't know that. I'll avoid all aftermarket fibreglass kits. There should be a law against dodgy front bars due to them interfering with the structural integrity of the car.
  6. Don't mean to be rude or anything but honestly what protection is a plastic or fibreglass front bar going to offer if the impact was strong enough to bend your chassis? Maybe if you had a bullbar. I'd be taking a loan out to pay for the repair bill and then selling the car, or stripping it for parts.
  7. Yes I would also like to know this. Do they have ceramic wheels or anything like that?
  8. Stock airbox? Or stock filter element? :looney:
  9. Seatbelts are changed at compliance.
  10. I hit a big arse eagal whilst it was eating some road kill once. But that was in my old car. Hit nothing in my Skyline....yet.
  11. I have a stainless Fujitsubo muffler with 3" custom piping from the cat back with no resonator or anything. Sounds very nice.
  12. Is it just me or does that clutch look like it has plenty of meat left? :bonk:
  13. They sound like really stubbon stickers. Have you tried eucalyptus oil? Or even better, some of Big Kevs Goo Remover? Give that a try.
  14. One more thing. Do you have any more pics of your car? Looks horn.
  15. You could using a hair dryer. What it will do is heat up the sticker until it becomes soft and make it a hell of a lot easier to peel off.
  16. Will it fit an R33 thread? Got a pic?
  17. Try going 40km over now and see how lucky you are. $700 fine + 6 month licence suspension.
  18. I know this is a long shot but I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to look up or find the auction sheet or details of my car when it was auctioned in Japan? Do they keep those details on file or on a website that I could look up? Just curious to know that's all. Thanks.
  19. Damn I like the look of your R33 Tony. Gives me a wood. :headbang:
  20. Re-gas your struts. They sound like they're old and tired.
  21. Mate, should have posted this 2 weeks ago as I had my idler pulleys replaced. They weren't in to bad nick. I would have given them to you. My mechanic gave them back to me in a box but I said I had no need for them. Ill ask if he still has them for you. 2 week wait? That sounds like a long time. I got mine over-night direct from Nissan.
  22. What mods do you have Rasi?
  23. Warranty companies don't cover clutch plates/pressure plates, brake pads etc. They are like a consumable. Read the warranty terms and conditions on the website someone posted above.
  24. Yes I have a 3 year royal cover with ASWN. I recently had my gearbox reconditioned $1900 worth. They covered it, no questions asked. They have local repair agents all over Australia. You have to get your car serviced every 10,000kms (cars 10+ years is every 4,000 or something) and send a copy of the mechanics receipt along with it to there head office. Just to prove that the car is getting regularly maintained. Am I glad I paid for the warranty? *** yes.:uh-huh:
  25. New AFM for you. Secondhand ones go for about $150 or so. The car won't be driveable with a stuffed AFM.
