Are the R34 310mm's all sorted now dude? Ive got a pair of stockies sitting here if you need some sent off for copying. Would you mind PMing me a price on a front pair of 310mms, and a rear pair of S13 discs? Cheers, -Luke

hmm.. I took a punt at the remembering the right name and obviously did my usual trick of mixing them up Sorry! Chris is a n00b. Davids' the champ. *waits for flamage from Chris*

What a great day! I met alot of new people, and that alone made the day worth while. Big thanks to Chris for the loan of the helmet! Youre a champ! Liz was fair pwning out there; I think by the end of the day she was cracking well into 1:15s. A few more ponies down the straight and theyd be definite 1:14s or less. Grab some semislicks! The bronchitis-phlegm green R31 was a real weapon. Ill join the stay-juh in the no-brakes-through-turn-1 class, although that could be because my 20rwkw of tyre chirping grunt couldnt propel me down the straight at anything more than crawling pace The single peeler was definitely a problem; I was lighting the inside wheel on every single corner! A welder will sort that out no probs :sorcerer: I was told I did 1:30s in the booger. Not quite as quick as my 180, but still good fun! (those that saw me driving from the passenger seat thanks to the almost bench seats can testify :laughing-smiley-014: ) Have a guess what turned up for my 180SX today though.. T28 + tuned length manifold + S15 radiator + nismo mounts all going in at once. OOH BABY OOH BABY! -Luke

Ive driven an RB24DET (stupidly expensive tomei RB24), and it definitely still feels like an RB20 to drive. Even with only 230rwkw (maxxing the turbo), it is still a nugget below 4000 (due to RB20-ness, not turbo lag). Rev limiter is set to 9000, but runs out of puff by 7500. Im interested to see how this one drives. After spending $20,000 on his setup, my mate says he would have been much happier with stock RB25 with some basic bolt-ons.

I apologise for going over the top on the reply, after seeing a different interpretation of your second post. I read it as you saying you were blocking the oil lines to your turbo (and your MSpaint pic didnt help clarify your statement at all). Obviously Sam took the same meaning from your post as I did: Aside from that, I still stand by my claim that you should have searched first, as its been covered a zillion times (and once again, Sam agreed). To make a catch can setup legal, you simply run the lines from the engine to the catchcan, and then the return line back into your intake. Oil vapour doesnt harm your turbo at all, however it will coat your AFM if you return it before it (Giving false readings and thus screwing your ratios). The factory return is between the AFM and turbo. I havent seen anyone deal with the crank cases' vapour.. On the SR20s, there is a factory catchcan placed between the crank case and rocker cover breathers (with the rocker covers' breather being a T piece; one to the catchcan, one to the intake). When you change to a tuned length manifold, it interferes with the stock catchcan, so you just run a pipe between the crank case and rocker cover breather, and then from the rocker cover breather to the aftermarket catchcan. From there most people just drop a pipe down to atmosphere (legally you should then return it to the intake). To Pauly33GTS-t: Please show references to where you attained that definition of a fuckhead. By what grounds do you see it just to insult someone for insulting someone? You are quite clearly "the breathing definition of a hypocrite". I could continue to say you've made yourself out to be quite stupid, but everyone here seems to take more offense to the term "stupid" than to "fuckhead".

Actually, I read the "READ THIS BEFORE POSTING" topics, which tell you to do a search. I could help you put it in, but you would probably just aggrevate me more in person. Have you tried searching for ideas yet? www.google.com.au will help if you can't find any decent information on sau. I know catchcans have been covered on www.nissansilvia.com, which google should link you to.

Well, was I wrong? I do believe calling me juvenile would be placed in the same category as calling someone stupid. I fail to see how calling a spade a spade is juvenile. If anything, I am acting as a normal twenty-something should act. A member with 133 posts should know already how the search function works, and thus utilise said function before posting. Pauls' initial question showed he doesnt use the search function (for a silly, commonly discussed topic), and that gets up my goat enough in itself, but then proceeding to dispute an MS paint drawing of a catchcan location, based on the turbo lines? That doesnt exactly show the greatest deal of subject knowledge. If you want me to conform, and "Be an individual.. just like everyone else", then fine; heres' my revised post:

Dude.. What the fuck? Perhaps doing a search would let you understand how a catchcan works, and the point of it. Knowing why youre putting an aftermarket one there would probably help make you sound less stupid. PS: Give Liz's sock back.

What exhaust components did you customise (if any)? I'd assume you would leave the front pipe sitting in such a way that any off-the-shelf S13 catback would fit. -

hehe, those are my old coilovers They wont be much good to you though, what with them only having spring preload adjustment, not base height adjustment. I spoke to anthony about these coilovers on sunday and told him he was a wang for not knowing they wouldnt work in a 31. LOVE the front lip!! What did you do with the tierods? Ive got yet another R31 (fluro bronchitis phlegm green, s3 manual silo), and have leftover S13 parts after doing the 5stud conversion on the 180 (which is for sale wink wink nudge nudge) -
Will A Gtr Diff Centre Fit In My S13?
Arkhaeon replied to PHaT MR30's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The centre will fit the S13 housing, however keep in mind this will need to be fitted by a pro to get the spacing set up properly (or youll kill the diff quicksmart). The most sensible option available to you is to get the GT-R diff with housing, then just swap the backing plate and driveshaft flange onto it from your S13 R200 (assuming its an r200, not a crappy R180..) It will work out cheaper after factoring the diff specialists' fees from the other method, and its so easy you can do it with basic tools in your driveway, in mere minutes. -
Ive been searching for 3 hours straight now, and have finally cracked the shits and am just going to ask. Im looking at getting a pair of R32 GT-R sumitomo calipers, and can get a pair of stock R33 GTS-25t discs in mint condition for a good price. Searching tells me the calipers are 'the same', but the whole 32mm vs 30mm thickness leaves the opportunity for me to get screwed lol I know the GTRs are supposed to run a 32mm thick disc, but with thick pads and 30mm discs, the thickness shouldnt be an issue. One thing I dont know about though, is the offset of the calipers; Are they different? In my searching, in just one thread, I read that all the sumitomo calipers run the same pads. I currently have Z32 calipers, but one is destroyed. This leaves me with a set of EBC greenstuff in near-new condition. Im hoping to be able to throw the greenshit pads into the GTR calipers, and use them on the R33 gtst discs. Anybody got anything to douse my dreams? Cheers, -Luke

hahaha 31 is number 1! Good to see mate! Now quit your whinging - 31s are almost a ceffie (s13 coilovers with slightly stiffer fronts to accomodate the anchor-weight of the RB and they can handle almost the same as an s13 oooh baby) Even Grants' in on this convo omg! Its Luke from mossy high Im just about to sell my s3 auto silhoette to get a s3 manual silhouette in mint condition. My plan is just to fit a minispool, extractors (already got them), and some low hard springs, then have a daily drifter. (my 180s NEVER going in another carpark. weekender only). Go hard son! -

Who did you confirm +38 offset with? Id like to call them a wang the offset IS +45 (unless youve found some uber-rare special version of the s15 rim?) -
moreso - who gives a rats ass if he bought it for $100? $250 is below average for this wheel (normally see them go for $300 in good nick). Same wheel on my car:
