My 33 drift car just had a 450lph walbro no surge tank and never had any issues. 330kw on e70. Just kept the tank above 1/3

Any news on the rediculous spooling ss2?

Bought my trailer 2nd hand, 6 months old and never used. Keep an eye out on gumtree for somthing as they pop up but sell quick.
I used to rent but it's dead money.
And that pic above is 100% correct. Gotta swat away the people wanting to borrow your trailer.

Thanks wildeagle44, how many mm's do you think the spacer could be before you would have space/fittment issues?
From memory 10-12 before you hit the fuse box.
-
I just had a look at mine, space isnt an issue. It could be worth a try.
Back in my commodore days a few people spaced there inlet mani to pick up some torque.

Willing to sell the starcorps? Pref the 9.5 set.

Old 180sx pig had china Stainless manifold and china t28. Manifold lasted 2 drift days before cracking and the turbo had more shaft play than i was comfortable with over the same period.
Do it once do it right.
-
Not with the exhaust manifold.
The intake however yes. If you use the neo manifold and accessories then it wont wire upto your s2 loom without cutting plugs.
The neo intake also has traction control build into the throttlebody. Wont work with a throttle cable.
-
Looks like everything.
I just did the swap into my s1.
Are you using the s2 or neo manifolds?

If your set on a swap just do a 25det neo swap. The wiring will match up if its already been modified for your 25de neo. Will either have to nistune your current ecu or go aftermarket.

Just ordered mine on friday. Hopefully have it in this week. Awsome to deal with and was a pretty good price considering the capability.

Was the new motor from an auto? You need to change the auto spigot in the flywheel for a manual one. Don't know if that would cause your symptoms though and not sure if you could even have got the box in now I think about it...excuse my rambling I'm tired...
You know what i think your spot on. I bought it as a long block out of a half cut which i think was auto. Will have a look this arvo cheers

Hi.
Finished doing a neo motor swap into my 33. Only thing i changed was the block, still using all the 33 accessories, gearbox, clutch, slaves etc
Let the car idle for 20min to bleed coolant and went to take for test drive. After reversing 3m down driveway there was a very loud grinding noise. Clutch was engaged at the time.
Turned car off, checked everything and tried again. No noise. Go drive 50m and noise comes back. Again turn off, back on no noise. 50m again the noise came back. Put in neutral noise was there clutch in or out.
First thought was throwout bearing. Pulled the box, seemed alright. Will have a better look tomorrow.
Am i on the right track? Searching seems to bring up similiar symptoms for throwout bearing. But this is seriously loud. Like angle grinder loud.
Or could there be somthing up eith the carrier since i changed motor?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I've seen both 6boost and full race. Both are top notch quality. The fullrace was twinscroll and 6boost was single t3.
My deciding factor was 6b because local.

Kyle just got back to me. Manifold is being sent back with my compressor housing and modified accordingly. Glad he's doing it rather than sombody else.
I wasnt awfull keen on the spacer either. Came up with the idea as a quick fix, clearly not popular haha.
Thanks for your input guys
-
I didn't buy direct from Kyle but have made both him and the supplier aware of the issue.
Hopefully will have a resolution from one of them tomorrow. Otherwise I'll go ahead and get it rewelded.
Just a real pain as it holds up getting the motor back in again.
-
No one that I know of is using one.
That's not cool your manifold doesn't put the turbo in the right place
Iruvyouskyrine has the same issue.
Makes you wonder ......
We are running the same turbo too.
-
Is anyone using one?
Im talking about a spacer between the block and turbo manifold. Turbo is hitting cam covers and not keen on cutting and rewelding my 6 boost.
Spacer will be about 7mm with gasket on both sides.
Will there be any issues?
Thanks

In terms of the factory RB25DET tune, is it considered "safe" for drifting/track work/in general? Obviously not maximized for power or apparently ralative fuel economy but aside from that.
Stock tune with the engine in stock form and it will do fine. From memory i think it runs a little rich so not a bad thing, correct me if i'm wrong.
I drifted mine for over a year, factory tune with just a front mount and turbo back.

Head studs, oil pump collar, oil pump, oil restrictor in head and enlarge block drains.
Extended/baffled sump with an oil cooler. Then you should be set.
Stocker 25's go great. Dont worry about power yet. Get the suspension gear done (diff, castor, camber, coilovers, rack spacers) then worry about hp.

Done thanks!

Hi. Looking for a neo motor from a 34.
Willing to get it shipped if interstate but prefer sydney if possible.
Must be running. Would like a compression test and or leakdown test.
Willing to look at built/forged/reco'd rb25 s1 and s2's also. (Must have receipts)
Pm is best. I check my emails often.
Thanks
