Why can't you just pay the fine and transfer the licence. How out of date is the licence? Can you just renew it if it's been less than 3 months?

Haha yeah I know! I'm keen for a jam one day when I can actually drive and I'm actually in melbourne. Pretty rare these days. I'm back in June-July though. I'm trying to teach myself theory by going through the theory levels. I'm still on level 2. Hard to get motivated about notes on a page.

S13 silvia or 180. average condition for 8k. 8k for R32 won't be very good unless you're really lucky. My tip is go aussie. Get a really nice XR6 or XR8 or SS of the same age. What sort of car would you prefer. Good car in crap condition or reasonable car in good condition. Unless I was gunna thrash and trash it, I'd go the reasonable car in good nick. Look at laurels and cefiros if there are any round. They can go for pretty cheap too. I sold a really good nick R31 GTS-X coupe about 18 months ago for $9300. That was a good price back then and a great car. In some ways I wish I still had it. They are probably the best way into the RB engine range. Very rare too!

A mate of mine lost his for 12 months and after 6 he rang up and asked what date he can start driving again. The said they had no record of him losing his licence! So he started driving again. he was happy but still spewin he wasn't driving the whole time!

Just got a letter from vic roads. If caught without a licence it's $3000 or 4 months prison. Not sure if that is the maximum penalty though?

One of the most frustrating thing is that the cops don't stick to their own rules. Twice I've been driving between Horsham and Ararat and get passed by a cop doing 130kph. I know coz I sat behind them after the passed me:) They were in a crewman with 4 cops in the car. When I get to Ararat about a min behind them they just get out at a scout hall for a little convention or something and they're just chatting with each other. No emergencies, no robberys, no brawls, no assaults!!! They just do it coz they can. If they can do it 'safely', so can I!!!

Now why do I never get off!!! Last time I lost my licence I got booked for not wearing a helmet riding my bike! Whats next?

I get back to 6 points next april. only 2 points till then. Should be ok. I've only been caught speeding twice and lost my licence both times so judging by my history, it's all or nothing.

Wish I could help Rylan. No bass sucks! I've played bass for about 2 years now but I've played drums for about 10 years. I used to play heaps of jazz/funk/latin/blues/rock etc as a drummer but these days I only really play rock at church both bass and drums. My reading skill is pretty bad on bass coz I never really listened to theory stuff. Do you do read music from standard charts or by ear? Also I'm in Horsham for the next 2-3 months so I'm too far away. Do you sing?

Wow, so many without licences! I always see the cash cameras but they're easy to pick. I've been working there for 6 months and until now, never seen a cop car with a radar outside of the small towns. Yeah it's a SP Terminal, I work for Powercor.

Yeah 32 but I'm not selling, I couldn't get anything this quick for the money. Too much. It's not really the fine I'm worried about, it's the court case and extended loss of licence, and if I'm in a stack, even if someone hits me, I'm screwed. And in a work car my job would be in jeaperdy. I've thought about it, just not telling a soul, drive boring cars and pass the time but I decided it wasn't worth the risk.

I've lost my licence for 6 months. I'm not writing this to have a whinge but I wish it didn't happen Basically I'm working in Horsham at a high voltage terminal station, 3.5 hr drive to melbourne and I had to be back for my traineeship graduation at 10am. I was meant to start that day at 6 with all the other guys I work with, hook on a trailer and get back to melbourne. The guys that have the key to the terminal station got drunk the night before and didn't get to work on time. I tried to call and wake them to no avail. So at about 6:20 I drive round to all their places to wake them up and get keys. The 3rd guy I tried was just awake so I hooked on the towball from his car and get the keys, race out to the terminal station, let everyone else in, get the trailer and blast back to melbourne. I left about 6:50 i think so well behind. I'm driving fast to try and make up time and I get just past Ararat and I'm booked for 142 in a 100 zone as I pass a truck and car. Cop got me on the radar, not much I can do. 6 months loss of licence, 6 points and $387. I just make my graduation about 20 mins late and about 2 mins after I arrive I'm called up to recieve my certificate from the CEO of my company, little did he know about the drama I had getting there! Just made it! I went and saw a lawyer and he basically said I had no chance of challenging it whatever way I try to get around it. just for a quick 30 min session it cost me $145!!! I really should have just left and stuff the guys cause they slept in. Easy to say now but I tried to please everyone and I got screwed. It wasn't worth it. Anyway that's not the end of the story cause the copper gave me 6 weeks to pay the fine but said nothing about when I lose it. So to clarify, I went the the Ararat cop station to find out. Another cop said that it was the same date that I pay the fine so 29th March. Sweet, no problems.. Until yesterday (27th March) when I went to get a new licence card issued to me (lost my wallet) and the lady says 'your licence is suspended, can't give you a card'. Apparently on their books I lost it 15th March, 28 days after the day I was booked. So 2 cops fail to tell me the correct day I actually lose it and I'm still driving thinking it's all good, 2 weeks to go. That's 2 weeks I'm unlicenced, uninsured etc. Lucky I didn't get pulled over although I would fight it all if I was. I'm just sick of it all... Bring on september!!! Can I still drive motorsport events without a current road licence? I'll just need someone to drive my car there!

Suggestions... Jap: Go for a Laurel or something. not as quick but it can be played with later. 4 door too! Aussie: VN-VP SS commodore or EB-ED XR8. Just sounds good and a bit of fun... Cheap to run: N14 SSS pulsar. SR20 goodness and good run around. there are so many choices!!!

It's sunday. He'd be in church!!! Hope that car gets out soon. Too long out of action.

Sorry to flog this dead horse again but with the fuel system thing are you allowed 2 mods or does 2 mods out of 3 put you in modified. (I have GTR injectors, HKS turbo and standard pump on my GTSt).
