Cheers thanks for the replies guys I think I will head over to D1 sometime this week and have a chat to Rob, since he has a car very close to mine ... need a few other Supra parts from them anyway . Id say i would only want to increase it out slightly , all depends how the rims go, I will fit them tonight and see if I need spacers or not..lets hope not but I doubt im that lucky .

Hi All, I am seeking your advise on wheel spacers. I currently have a set of 17x7 rims (x4) that are on my GA70. Now these fit perfectly on the car as it is a narrow body. But I want to put these onto my MA70 which is a wide body so its prob an inch or so wider each side. I have seen MA70's fitted with 17x8 on the front and 17x9 on the rear, this seems to be the standard fitment people use when choosing aftermarket rims. I am gathering when I put my 17x7's on they are possibly going to sit inside the guards a bit to much, so I am thinking of using spacers. I do not know much about them though, so I am wondering what you all think of them, I gather they are not a legal mod either (I mean is anything anyway ) Also: 1) Will tire places supply/fit these?.. if they dont then where can I get them? 2) Are they safe? 3) how much do they cost I am not even sure how they work, can anyone explain how they are actually fitted? Also before anyose says it, I don't want to get new rims and I only just brought these brand new with new tires... btw the tires I am running are 235's!.. and they actually fit well. Thanks Rob.

omfg what a load of crud!!! , talk about discrimination!!! Sorry to hear this has happen, hope you get thru the inspection without to much hassle.

Already got an EBC ready to go in

Well picked up the car last night..... wooohooo soooo much torque and power!... it is also a sleeper (has the same exhaust type as yourself Joel ). Time for me to get out the old HPI mag's and look through Martin Donnon's build up story on his old Soarer .
-
Yep stacks of torque, and a very nice ratio'd LSD.. so the acceleration is mad!, I would easily say it is faster than my R33 was .... sorry If I boost it to 12psi then id say easily over 200rwkw and beyond.... add front mount etc well..... damnit the urge is back!!. Awesome Dean if you could find out how much it went for that would be awesome. Also I'm back to my original Alias now due to having a car that can back it up

So much torque!, and so fugging fast .. couldnt wipe the smile off my face. Few marks on the body (meh), power steering pump whines a bit but prob needs bleeding (its pretty new).

Howdy All, As you know I currently have a 1988 GA70 Supra with a 1G-GTE. These car's are very good, but after having a Skyline this car just does not have the performance I want. Insert New car 1987 MA70 with a 1JZ-GTE conversion ... 152RWKW on stock boost and a ton of torque! Here are the features: Blitz Access ECU - no boost or speed cut and slightly more agressive tuning. 4.3:1 LSD R154 manual gearbox Cruise control Air-con 2.5 inch exhaust TEMS suspension with new struts. HKS Blow-off Strut brace Autometer boost gauge EBC Green Stuff brake pads. It is metalic blue also, which is an extremely rare Mk3 colour. Pics below ... my current wheels also going onto it asap. Oh if anyone is after a cheap 1988 GA70 Supra in maroon then I have one for sale ... looking for only 8k negotible. My GA70 has only done 96,000km's and interior is like new...oh its also a 5-speed manual.

I'm sorry a Gemini does not have a right to be on the road anymore, let alone a drift track ... sorry Steve

***Confirmed**** OfficeWorks carpark at 8:30 as starting point. And follow Nightcrawlers route. Cya all there Rob.
-
Joolz (GFXMan) Mate the SS is always welcome, damn I love that car!!! You guys know you are always more than welcome. Nightcrawler Agree with everything you have said, and also just because you dont have a Skyline does not mean you should not be there one bit, you too are always more than welcome.. If its Jap or if its a Jaffa then always welcome I say. The main point is having people that are mature , sensible , and like to have a bit of fun but safely, they are the people I like to cruse with, and everyone I have cruised with so far fits that bill. Love that route to mate , very very cool , I am in for that for sure. But yeah just to wrap up, If you do not own a Skyline then that does not mean you can not come on as SAU cruise, if you have a Jap car then your are welcome , and if you have a certain SS with a Jaffa plate you are always more than welcome.

I agree. Everyone that knows me knows that when I am on a cruise I like to give it a bit of a go when I am going through the hills, and yes it is a bit annoying getting stuck behind a slow car, but what is even more damn annoying is when that person complains about being tailgated... if you are being tailgated then dont you think its best to let that person thru...sheesh! My 2c.
-
Just a quick update. Cruise is definately still on , the weather looks pretty good so hopefully it keeps this way, should provide some nice cold air for the cars. Looks like there is still a bit of a debate on what route to take, I am leading more towards the gorge as It provides very good quality roads surace wise plus lots of nice twists and turns... plus the lack of wildlife is always a bonus. Looking at a 8:30 meetup with a 9pm departure time, at this stage I still think Bunnings Mile End is the best spot to meet if everyone can behave. Hope to see you all there
-
Hmm this is shaping up to be pretty big I think .. what have I created ?! Umm in ref to the southern route , it just doesnt do it for me, I have been up there about a million times as my parents live at Meadows and it just doesnt compare to the Gorge in a number of ways.. firstly not as windy and not as much "wholly s### that was close!!" action , and secondly the roads are shit, and 3rd there is a hell of alot more wildlife out at night around there due to it being farmland mainly... car vs roo or sheep or cow = not nice , nearly happen too many times. just my 2c. Rob.

R32 GTR would be my choice, I mean a car designed specifically for Group A racing or a Plain WRX with a few badges..how many "special editions do Subaro need!!!" , Club spec, evo, etc etc sigh... I know what my choice would be. Plus how many WRX's do you see, I don't even look twice anymore.

Cashmo: Ofcourse, always good to see new faces.

Hi Everyone, Well after the huge success of last weeks cruise I thought hey why not organise another! I was thinking the 28th of March , it gives everyone a fair bit more notice this time which should allow to get even more of the Skyline boys out , plus Andrew should be back from Qld then? I also have that friday free too which makes it even more attractive hehe I love the route we did last time so would be keen to do something simular again , except maybe go even deeper into the hills so it goes a bit longer. Umm Meeting point is up for debate too after the efforts of the twat in the black/green 180sx , not really the best way to keep a low cop profile when stuff like that happens. What do you guys think? , I am very keen to try out the new tune and see what the beast can do now . Rob.
