  1. i have't seen the cruise light on mine however i have seen some that have popped up only once before in the three months i have had the car. take another photo and i will check mine.
  2. Playaz, I have a V36 350GT SP also and I had the same problems. Basically follow this guide: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/332357-v36-skyline-japanese-translation-document-work-in-progress/ http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/332357-v36-skyline-japanese-translation-document-work-in-progress/ you need to make sure the car is in Park as you cant make any changes to the bluetooth whilst the car isn't in Park or in motion. suggest you make sure you clear out all bluetooth handsets that have been associated as well. the pairing screen was a little hard to figure out as I needed to leave the info screen showing and i kept on closing it. leave this on display before you try and pair phone. InfoScreen.tiff read the guide in the above forum any issue people are here. Happy to offer what worked for me. Matt.
  3. I’m listening to @pandora_radio, now available in Australia #PandoraAUS

  4. would these pads be the exact same for the Sedan version? 2006 V36 350GT SP? or should I be looking for something different. Stock car nothing done to it.
  5. Thanks Odium trying to get out of a few things to come along! Hope to see you there.
  6. Just read the newsletter and the bakery cruise does sound like fun however without access to the members area I won't know the details. Maybe someone could let the New Members (like me) know the details prior to the event via PM or email that would be great. Thanks, Matt.
  7. I also just signed up at the Dyno day. It was a good day and the photos that were taken are great. Well done to all.
  8. Thank you all I will be sending a note to the RAWS workshop and I hope they have something better and more permanent.
  9. I have just got 2006 V36 350GT SP and I would like to know where I can actually get a proper sticker if they exist for the drivers door showing the tyre and rim size chart. I can assume that this has been put on there as part of the compliance process and it was stuck there with cheep glue that is half fallen off now. I have looked and can't find anyone who has these for sale. I can make my own as you can see in the attached it looks like that is what the person who did the compliance has done. Just looking for something more professional or neater then the flimsy piece of photocopy paper half stuck to the drivers door. Or do I just rip it off and clean off the sticky goop and never talk of this again? All new to this skyline business just want to do the right thing. Thanks Matt. I did a forum search and couldn't find anything relevant.
  10. Just insured with Lumley Special Vehicles. Found them to be the best price and not as stringent at what Shannon's wanted. Paying $1,150 for the 2006 V36 350GT SP. Gave me the agreed value I wanted and didn't kick up a stink about it not being in a garage. You could also try Dawes Underwriting agency. I have been told they do imports and exotics. Reason why I didn't go with them is that they wanted a proposal form filled out prior to offering me any price. It was much easier to call Lumley and do it over the phone without a hassle. Good luck with insurance.
  11. This bugged me for the first week I had the car. I thought something was up and read the guide and turned off the auto decline call option and wow I can receive calls. Yea.
  12. Haa found this problem also from day one however did some reading with the V36 translation guide and its one of the options set as Auto Divert calls to someone in Japan. Go Into Settings Go To Phone (5th option) then the 3rd option with the ON indicator is the auto divert. Make sure this is NOT ON! Hope this helps you as much as it helped me. the full guide is worth a read. v36 Navigation Manual. http://www.skyline-gt.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=287435
  13. Thank you both for your responses.
  14. Just picked up my new ride on tuesday (2006 V36 350GT SP) and looking forward to next meet. Looking forward to the new member day (7th April) and I will sign up there and I will do my best to be at the next cafe meet.
  15. I picked up my new 2006 V36 350GT SP (Bose system with Navi) on Tuesday and I cant say anything wrong with it. I wish I knew Japanese so I understood what some of the things mean. I understand that I don't have a financially reasonable ($5,000) chance of changing the software to english and I understood that from reading Chris Rogers posts and I really want to thank you Chris for all your information that you have put on here. I wish my iPhone 5 would be able to stream the music via bluetooth however just happy enough with it being able to answer and make calls using the bluetooth of the system. What I would like to know is 2 things: 1) What is the Snow Button? I cant find any information on it? (my kids think its a button that will produce snow out the back whilst driving, I wish) (oh and they are still looking out the window for my new CarWings!) 2) Indicator sound is there a way to increase this as its really soft and i have to look and make sure it's on? (im sure if I increase the volume of this I will say "Too Loud") just thought in amongst the warren of settings that I do not understand there is one that says indicator volume. If not no stress. If anyone could enlighten me on the Snow button that would be great! I cant stop seeing Skylines now, I keep on passing them or they pass me. I didn't realise how many there were in Melbourne!
  16. How the members of this forum helped me with the purchase was the following points: # two keys as replacement keys for these are not a simple thing. Appreciate all the information in the posts relating to replacement keys. # lines of the body - I was told and assured the vehicle hadn't been in any accidents or damage. The lines of the front fenders were not the same. The vehicles lines were different in overcast conditions compared to full sun # parts sound like they are easier to get then 250. Went into Repco and spent 20 minutes going over what parts the had in stock today and parts they could get in. Basically 99% of the 350 were available and 80% of the 250 had to be ordered. # import certificate make sure you get a copy of this and check it against the RWC and the Km's should be similar # vehicle check from RACV - they were painful about it and wanted the car in their centre for a day. Called "statewide" and found them to be fantastic and the inspection guy picked up on the damage/replacement fender due to the number of welds and a few other points. Felt very happy after the inspection from statewide and that will the final decider to get the car. Hope this helps Matt
  17. Everyone thank you all so much for your help advice and confidence. Somehow from an act of God my wife has agreed that the 2006 V36 350GT SP is a better car for our family! So if everything goes well late next week I should be driving this instead for the 250GT. Rally appreciate the help and assistance as some of these points assisted with the decision. I will upload some photos when I get the car. Looking forward to becoming part of this community. Matt.
  18. Thank you Greg for filling me with a bit of confidence now, was getting a little worried about from Tony's comments however in this modern times im sure the internet will be able to help me track down parts if normal channels cant help. I appreciate all your comments and I hope I can find the right one soon!.
  19. Dont need the 3.5 and happy with the Slow turtle 2.5. Start off slow then get the wife/family use to the car then get something with a little more grunt/dignity. By the sounds of this forum I need to take it up to QLD when I get one, thats apparently where all the people live who know all about these cars.
  20. Sean, thanks for the update I will keep my eyes and ears open. Cheers. Matt.
  21. Thanks for that information Alex, appreciate your help with this. 6) do i need to replace the Immobiliser? or is this part of the Australian Compliance process.
  22. First Post and thinking I might be doing this wrong and I should do it in the Newbie's area however I have my heart set on getting a 2005 V35 250GT Premium (ok don't hang me because it's not a 350GT im after the 250 - and no im not a girls blouse) I have just picked myself up form the floor after finding out the cost of insurance (im not on P plates), which is not the end of the world however I want to make sure I do all I can to get the best car. Plans are: 1) Find a importer who has one of these cars available for a reasonable price. 2) Make sure the KM are low or around the 50k mark 3) Prefer vehicle with No prior damage (rely on the honesty of the person) 4) Make sure it's got a Australian compliance 5) Get RACV check? will they check these cars? 6) Get New Alarm/Immobiliser as I have been told the one factory fitted doesn't comply with Aust rules? is this true? 7) If I do get the car ask for the import certificate with the car? is this the norm Just want to make sure I have everything in order before I take the plunge. Is there anything else I need to consider or look out for? If this post needs to be moved please let me know. thanks Matt. (prior vehicles: 1963 Triumph Spitfire Mk1, 1976 Triumph 2500TC) this is first Skyline Import for me.
