hmm i think people are more likely to be out in the sun at say, between 7-8pm when the heat is still dying down from a 30-35+ degree day, instead of 5-6am when the sun is still warming Perth up. so it may attract more cases of sunburn / skin cancer / beach related incidents / heat issues...
i'm not saying its a bad thing, if you take your precautionary measures then its avoidable.

But i am FOR it, because it'll be a little safer, women can still bus home alone at say, 8-8.30pm and it'll still feel a lot safer than bussing home when the sun's truly gone down.
Business hours difference between's already been mentioned, but technically, shifting an hour in perth means adding two more hours to do business interstate, because that means people in the east can "call perth 11am instead of noon", and perth can "call over east at 3pm and not 2pm".
this debate's just beating around the bush really, it could go on for pages and pages..
