  1. Do share your findings? Cam failure? 'Box failure? Electrical?
  2. What switch mate? All I saw was the left projector was out. haha. Also - I SPOTTED A REAL PERSON. OH MY GAWD. *is proud*
  3. The car has been stripped right down to the rad support to get the engine out. I may as well just unbolt what I can of the rad support. Gonna have fun re-aligning the front chassis if I bang the donk into it. LOL I wanna pull the box and engine out together, It's gonna be hell to get the bell housing bolts undone for me - so I'll drop the crossmember and lift her out. I realised something thisarvo. I've pulled almost everything out of the engine bay just to do a headgasket. DERP. So, yeah, engine will come out, and box, gonna build 'em and slot them back in. May have to reassemble the front end a bit while the engine is out - may have to change her storage location in the next year.
  4. haha, yes.. keep the engine... Maybe the fond memories of pulling the engine out. Nah gonna yank it anyway, may as well save for an engine stand, and if anyone has an engine crane, feel free to let me know. Gonna yank the gear box and engine in one hit. May as well do the clutch and gears at the same time.
  5. Anyone wanna help me with info on those? Because if they are coming out with the cams to get the head off, I may as well have SOME reference. :-\ Aircon pump, bracket, bolts all in good condition, the pump works fine. $50 come get it if you want it. Give ya the condenser for 25 bux too if anyone wants it. OK condition clutch fan. Free to good home. LOL. Got to here: Before I decided I was gonna pull it all out. LOL. D'OH!
  6. Engine out. :-| Should have done that in the first place. Ah well. Anyone got an engine crane/and some free time to help pull it out? A case of beer/JD/whatever will be in it for you.
  7. Eh scratch that - gonna keep the twins. CBF'd trying to do MORE plugs, etc.
  8. OK guys, seeing as I've gotta rip the intake and exhaust off to do the headgasket. Should I just convert it to a single? Or seeing as I have the stock head gasket, etc - just chuck the twins back in?
  9. OK, GOOD NEWS. I got a job in the city. Bad news - I'm fitting exotic tyres and run flats. Good news - I get 25 bux an hour. Bad news - I work four and a half days a week. Good news - I get time to work on the GTR. Bad news - still on about the same wage due to day pay as last job. :-\ Got a job though. Still kickin'. :-D
  10. I have my whitecard, I'm a tyre fitter, can easily adapt to any kind of manual work, did playground construction, and some wood bolster barbed wire fencing. Short term or long term, just need a job now. I haven't gotten around to getting my forklift licence yet, but I know how to drive one. lol If you can help, big thanks ahead of it man. :-) Back the the GTR. It had THREE alarm systems in it. lolwhut All were hooked up too. haha. Anyway, all of them are out, making a switch board where the ash tray was and moulding it in, RWD toggle switch, Electric fans toggle switch, Heater bar switch, Ignition switch (cuts the main line on the Start on the column so the switch needs to be on to start the car, which is hooked to a clutch mechanism so the clutch must be in to start also, seeing as I can't trust alarms since the last one failed, I know it all seems stupid to do this, but it'll make sense later down the track.) So yeah.... Four switches I want for no good reason basically. lol. And I moved the lighter socket to the centre console to charge phones, etc. I don't want cables everywhere...
  11. Oh yeah, anyone want a complete '89 R32 GTR aircon system? As well as good condition aircon controls. 200 bux. :-P
  12. I figure seeing as I have no job I'll pull the hard yeards and see it through during the nights due to looking for jobs and calling around during the day. So here we go... Front bar off, the number plate bracket bolt was rusted in, drilled it out re-tapped it, and got back to the hard stuff. Stock? Hmm.. Ah well, free adjustable cam gears. XD No baffles, nothing. I am disappointed. :-( No collision damage. :-D WHAT IS THIS? Uh, was attached to the horn loom. Temp sensor of some kind? Looks slimy. Old and wrinkly. lol. So - now I'm sure it is a blown head gasket, or someone has filled the radiator with baby rear end stuff... >.> Bought these ages ago after making them on the JDM site thingo. I have three spares just in case. lol Ordered these AGES ago too. More insight into this GTR. Took the aircon condenser out, slowly removing the lines, working my way to the pump. Put the front member back in with horns etc. WHAT IS THIS? I think it's a temp sensor? am I right? So yeah, more things I can't afford to do. If anyone knows anyone hiring in the north shore, short term, part time etc, looking for minimum of 500 a week. Please guys, If I get a job I owe whoever gets me one a case of beer of their choice.
  13. Yup. Ah well - gotta smash out what I can on the GTR before the end of the week so I can sell it for a profit if I need to. :-(
  14. The gunmetal '32 has stockies and low and white no. plates? Saw it tonight. looks schmik.
  15. If they bothered to tank test the tyre it's probably a sidewall puncture or bead seal issue if it isn't the valve.
  16. So - today I started really getting into it, got the aircon out, etc. So anyway. I was told there was a little oil in the radiator fluid, but there wasn't too much. HAHAHA. LOLNO. There was a LITTLE BIT of WATER in the OIL in the RADIATOR. Still draining. :-| Slimy brown sludge. Yeeeaaaaw! BHG for sure.
  17. Well... I just lost my job. Soooo... I'm f*%^ed.
  18. So I got the cam covers off and the aircon drained in the last 30 minutes. Looks stock so far. :-( No surprise goodies for me. Damn.
  19. Good old CRD and their Blue R34 Racecar that they leave on the roadside with the keys in it. haha
  20. Kumho's all have a slight shoulder bulge, so they all stretch a bit and look straight. Everyone has XD9's. I'm gonna start looking for a favourite new rim now.... hahahaa
  21. Probably gonna do the timing belt while I do the headgasket. Was only done 20K km ago. But meh.
  22. I'd just paint the centres black and get a set of good sized brakes and calipers, exhaust and larger turbo + supporting mods. Looks clean as is mate. Wouldn't mind a '34 GT-T as a daily driver. Needs moar laydeez on teh hood brahz. lol
