  1. Dash: No bubbles I can see. The controls around the gauge cluster? $40. R32FREAK - the front bar and reo is sold. But I still have the guards, hood and latch and front support and brackets.

  9. So - three years from now I still just re-rego like any other car? No import crap? (dunno why I am saying this, a mate said I might need my import papers after a certain time out of rego.)
  10. Ok, so those who've seen it know I have LOST MY PAPERS. Rego, transfer, etc. Now - I'm sure we've all seen/done/known a bodgied rego purchase receipt. So that's out of the way. I CANNOT GET INTO CONTACT WITH THE PREVIOUS OWNER. Ok - so here's the deal - the GTR has been registered in Australia for over 6 years previously - and the rego was cancelled before I bought it, so it is a completely clear title. It is an import, so it has been cleared etc, as it was regoe'd before. So, normally it could be re-registered yes? As long as I have receipt of purchase and clear VIN. Or is there a time limit for imported vehicles before I require the import duties? Or as it has been regoe'd and cleared before I just re-rego on the clear VIN? Simply - regoe'd before, lost papers, imported vehicle, wanna re-register in about 2 or three years. If I can't re-rego it. I will have to strip it for parts - which I REALLY don't want to do.

  18. Have you held a rotary engine? It's kinda like a large football. And they are quite easy to work on. Yeah admittedly they don't make as much power N/A. but boost them, and they start chasing numbers at high revs.. like 12000rpm. lol Look. I have an R32 GTR on my list for a reason. But Wankel Engines are a cool, odd thing. And are still fun to own because they make power faster than any other P plate legal NA engine.

  20. With 2 pack paints, you don't need to clear all colours. COB is only for acrylics, metallic and pearls. Clearing over a 2 pack enamel is pointless anyway according to a mate. The enamel usually has a hardcoat gloss finish. The clear wont stick and it will peel off. Just pay 150 odd bux and have them painted at a panel shop - save you more money in the long run mate.
  21. The insurance ran out the day of the rego. I was going to move it into the garage to do the things for Pinks, then rego and sell it. But never got the chance. :-\ Cops still haven't located it. And the GTR is just sitting here not doing anything because I don't have any money except the money I have for food and rent thanks to having to pay excessive stupid bills. Ah well - a couple of months of being poor wont kill me. Failed my Green's yesterday too. So gotta go again next weekend.
