  1. ouch, that would make you mad
  2. For the bloke with 100w globes, I would not recommend running them in conjuction with your low beam. It will end up in a sad state. 100watt globes are not twice as bright as a 50watt globe - But they will produce a truck load more heat. Have you ever wonderd why manufacturers never use 100watters in their cars? Disadvantages outweigh benefits. Cheers Sumo
  3. yogi, as far as I am aware, the handbrake on most cars only earths out the Handbrake dash light, so all you would have to do is run an earth to that wire... no biggy. Cheers Sumo
  4. I had to get a car started the other day that had been broken into, but the theif was to dumb to steal it - it appeared that he had watched to many mcguiver movies. Sparking wires together does nothing except blow fuses But yeah a turbo timer puts the ignition wires under the theifs nose.. All he needs then is another mug under the bonnet to short the starter and bang... They are off faster then grannys knickers. Cheers Sumo
  5. Thats the pot calling the kettle black, Funny how most tradesmen go through TAFE to only "supplement" their learning, yet the knob with a degree, has to call on these lesser mortals to do a Professional job on his car. The way it works around most places is, you get respect through your quality of work, not through the pieces of paper that you have framed sitting on the wall. Cheers Sumo
  6. Hey man, My Odo stopped for 1000kms and it started working again it was on the 80000kms click.
  7. He would only get told from higher up to target imports. Those media reports would have a fair bit of persuasion I would say to what cars they would nail. With a couple of paper articles you can turn the country against skylines...... Especially in country areas where you have heaps of old people that dont question the media - because its always right. Cheers Sumo
  8. Its always good to see people over coming problems without it costing them a mint. Must suck to live in a capital city too with all the coppers against you Cheers Sumo
  9. im sure most people are aware you have 217rwkw by now... Cheers Sumo
  10. I got a pair of Finches, A huge bird cage, A esky, a carton of bundy lime & soda, A set of King-gees for work Im set! Cheers Sumo
  11. Pin 9 in a plug on the r32 ecu means jack shit to me. But I would say it may be something to do with the idle up signal that the A/C sends to the ECU.
  12. Do you fellas know where I might pick up an electronic digital boost pressure display + sender unit.... I need a display that I can just use double sided tape to stick to the dash. Cheers Sumo
  13. I got my organic Daiken Exedy 450hp single plate from www.directimported.com.au talk to Phil, he should be able to look after you. I fitted mine myself with a mate, just make sure you mate is big and can lift heavy things coz the r33 boxes weigh a ton.... all you have to do is unbolt the gearbox crossmember and you should be able to just lean the engine back and get to all the bolts an you will need an old nissan spline - i think I used one out of a datsun to line the clutch plate up when putting the new one in. cheers Sumo
  14. Well the low gas pressure switch is generally setup in series with your A/C circuit, and if you have low gas she will not pull the clutch in. I don't have a wiring diamgram for a skyline 32 or 33 just to see what might be stopping the flow of power. With a test light and the car running and the A/C turned on at the climate control, probe the wires to see if power is getting to the pressure switch, and then passing through it and going to the compressor clutch. If the power is getting right down to the compressor it is possible to have a break in the clutch winding - I have seen quite a few in different vehicles. Cheers Sumo P.S. I take it you did the easy things first and checked all the fuses?
  15. 2GU UP 2: That would not be all that hard to do But you would need an amber lens? Cheers Sumo
  16. Yeah, I would enquire about the RB26DETT to, it is more similar to a rb20 then a VG30 then you know you will have a monster when its done Cheers Sumo
  17. What happend to the days of jumping in the old holden ute, going into an unused paddock and doing as much circle work and learning how to correct the vehicle and knowing its limitations till you feel comfortable - If I still had my old holden ute I would love to go down and find a big patch of clover.. The problem is with skylines being a fast car, my old ute would be revving her hole off at about 120, which the r33 will quite happily reach in 3rd gear. Drift seems to be a problem these days, as you ask most import drivers - they are drift kings. Cheers Sumo
  18. internal sensor being the one behind the steering wheel?
  19. haha, The doc said that I cannot be helped
  20. mine is the same fella's, but it only happend after i installed my new headunit Cheers Sumo
  21. how far is my crutch supposed to spin when the car has been stopped after a hard run up the mountains? Sorry guys, I had to laff
  22. you can tell from the cars VIN number apparently. Do a search for Nissan FAST software..... it has it all explained. Or you could just put your VIN number in here and we can run it through the FAST software.
  23. the vacuum line helps open the BOV, you have 12psi one side of the bov piston and -20hg of vacuum the other side. I dont think I would let my turbo flutter if I knew it was going to cause a premature death. Cheers Sumo
  24. Doesn't it make the turbo unbalanced for the time it flutters with the potential to do damage?
