  1. Just saw this on another forum
  2. Yep another 95model here with S2 motor.
  3. They offer two types, Check this post on Pg. 1 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=4549381
  4. Which sump is that Trent, the $400(ish) one or the $699?
  5. Mine is where the factory RB30 pressure sensor was, I had to use an elbow to get it to fit though as I re-used the RB25 oil cooler.
  6. Ah this is the thread I remember reading http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rd...tml&hl=rd28
  7. you mean an RD28? I think it has been done. From what ive read the RD28 has a very long stroke for its bore size, so they arent the most free revving motors. In the end not really worth the expense and effort when you could jus stroke a 26, or build a 3.0L
  8. Must be impossible for all the Hot Rodders in SA then. Did you even talk to an engineer?
  9. Im in NSW, didnt re-stamp my block and the RTA simply entered all my details straight off the blue slip/change of records form and engineers cert into the database without any issues. So In my case putting an old motor into a new vehicle definately wasn't a problem.
  10. The Platinum Sports ECU's replace the Haltech E11 and E8's im pretty sure. haltech has a reputation of being a very good ECU, plenty of people on here run the E11's. Only downside I see is that the PS2000's dont use knock control which is why it may be worthwhile considering a ViPEC or Link if your running a street car, but then on the other hand neither does PFC...
  11. By checking the RB25 dyno thread and seeing what other people have done
  12. HKS Cast low mount is probably your only worthwhile option if you can find one. Dont waste your time with the chinese fleabay rubbish, it will look far from factory anyway. Consider port matching the factory one if anything else.
  13. No I didnt pull any wool over his eyes. He was told exactly what it was, and the answer I got was aslong as the RB25DET emissions gear was connected it would be ok. It was basically treated as a stroked RB25 rather trying to re-invent the wheel and pass it as a RB30DET, which doesnt exist in the eyes of the RTA
  14. Unlikely you will drive all the way out to Griffith NSW to use him but I'll PM you the name
  15. I got an engineers certificate a blue slip, and filled out a change of records form. I didnt have to provide any emissions reports etc as others have said, but the engineer did want to see that all the factory emissions gear was connected. I also showed him the sizes of the brakes which other vehicles fitted with the RB30 come with from factory (R31 skyline etc). The R33 has bigger brakes than those so it wasnt an issue, I found it to be a very smooth excersize.
  16. Can anyone share their experience with the Lewis Engines valve springs? http://www.lewisengines.com.au/prod7.htm
  17. My personal experience as with many others was that the knock sensors were a straight swap. As far as I know both S1 and S2 RB30 blocks have the same provisions for knock sensors as RB20, 25 and 26. If for some reason yours is does not have these you may have to do something custom
  18. Sorry for the late reply, yes I got them on Ebay (do a search for items located overseas) Also I had my rims done by: Riverina Powder Coating in Leeton NSW (02) 69536355
  19. easy, take the rb25 knock sensors and screw them into the provisions on the rb30 block
  20. Bought mine from hi octane $536 was the best price i could find http://hioctaneracing.com.au/eshop/product...products_id=878
  21. Another member here flying the flag for ROSS...
