  1. anyone have any feedback on a trust td05 ???
  2. dammit - now yo uhave me thinking ... the monies for the emanage have not been taken, its going to take about 6 weeks for the emanage to arrive ... powerfc from nengun .... hmmmm ok, so the pros and cons ... ??? will the power fc plug into my laptop for realtime stats etc
  3. hmmm cheaper power fc ?? 640 USD = 927 AUD, then there is fitting + dyno days to set it up etc etc ... i have not managed to find a power fc for a gts-t for under $1400 new ... besides, i could use paypal with them, and have some UK pounds still sitting in an account in the UK (linked with paypal) well, not sitting there anymore
  4. Please don't swear at me ... no, its a manual ... not bagging anyones car here, but why would someone buy a car like this, with a sludge box ... personally couldn't do it ... but thats just me ... I'm from the UK where autos are for only 2 types of people 1. old 2. disabled sorry ..
  5. lol ... nice thanks, whats the O2 sensor harness you have ??? got a schematic or something for it ???? and yeah, had a few emails bouncing back and forth, and he seems like a genuine guy, seems pretty helpful ...
  6. full cost including shipping from the US is $640 USD from the nice people at http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/ They currently don't have any of the pressure sensor / harness in stock, so am awaiting for it to ship from japan to the US, then from the US to AU ... sigh ... could be a while .. couldnt find anyone in AU that would come near that price with all the harnesses
  7. oh also, what ranting are the zeners you get ??? 3.3v ? cheers
  8. hmm ok thanks forget to mention that the pc cable + software is comming with it too ...
  9. sounds possibly like a crack in the head gasket .... does the white smoke have a blue tint to it, or is it totally white ... blue tint = oil being burnt just white = water vapour ... just my 2p worth
  10. yeah, tell me about it .... luckily i can work from home for half the week tho ... the 'dont blow up the coils kit' well, from reading up on the emanage, the latest version of the firmware has this built in, was to do with supplying a constant voltage to the coils, and aparently this has now been turned off ... also, there wre some reports that the new harnesses are comming with the zenier diodes built in ... might just get some zeniers anyway ... not exactly expensive, and worth it to save the coils i think ! not gone for the warning light thing yet, will see if it does it as it appears that some do and some dont ... strange ... if i need to i'll grab one from AU somewhere .. got any thoughts on an installer ? cheers
  11. care to state why ... out of interest
  12. All there are SO OOOOOO many thread on turbo choice here, and would like to get some peoples experience with turbos down here ... I'm thinking of a new turbo in the next few months, and have read the whole high flowing v BB turbo threads ... I'm in agreement with sydney kid about the whole useable power thing, and a turbo is absolutly no good to me if it does not come on boost until 4500 rpm ... i'm looking for something to produce about 17psi psi, and start to come on boost at around 3 - 3500 rpm (ish) I rarely touch near the red line, doing most of my hard driving in the 4-6000 rpm range .. Its a S2 GTS-T with a hks pod, and turbo back 3", emanage is on its way .... so what is the best turbo choice for this application ???
  13. I'm awaiting the arrival of an emanage from the states, with the ingition, injection, and boost harnesses (and sensor) where (in peoples experience) are good places to get this installed and configured. I dont really mind doing the install, but want it setup by someone who knows what they are doing with fuel maps etc ... either south sydney (the shire) or north sydney / chatswood ish cheers
  14. possibly was, cant remember now but now you mention it, it could well have been .... be interested for someone to check out their standard setup and see what goes where am just using the post that is post intercooler and making do with that ....
  15. i have no idea how many rwkw it has now, or what i want to get to be honest i'm not really interested in looking at what the numbers are, i am more interested in driving it bloody fast (on a private track of course) and also being drivable on a day to day basis - not to be spitting flames at every gear change.
  16. ok, so i was stationary at some red lights, and a nice big arnotts truck came screeeeeeeeching towards me and tried to get into the boot of my line ((( was'nt travelling very fast by the time he hit me, and i saw him comming so let my foot off the breaks ... but still its a little dented and i can't close the boot not happy anyway need to get it fixed, where *pref in the sutherland shire, sydney* to take it to get fixed ... anyone get any recommendations ??? thanks
  17. how do you know you need the z32 afm ???
  18. be screwed if I could tell !!! there is DEFFO 2 lines comming from solonoid, DEFFO one goes to actuator, and one goes back to pre turbo inlet ... VERY strange .. am taking line from post intercooler currently, and its working, although i am getting a few spikes, ebc is set to .7 of a bar, and comming off boost under hard driving will spike to .8, and running uphill slightly under hard boost will be running at .75 anyway if anyone wants to have a look, and is in the shire, then please feel free to pop over and see ..
  19. Hense the supra turbo type mod ..
  20. anyone ?
  21. are you 100% that the ebc is plumbed in correctly ???? just a thought
  22. um thats not right have been under the bonnet this afternoon (working from home is great !) anyway, the solonoid has TWO pipes, one that plumbs back to the inlet (post afm, pre turbo) and one that goes to the actuator. There is DEFFINATLY not an outlet pre intercooler ... its looking like i either stick with a post intercooler feed, or drill and tap a hole
  23. Thanks for all the post but OMG !!! are people NOT reading my posts !!! I KNOW HOW TO PLUMB IN THE EVC i am asking WHERE a PRE intercooler outlet is, NOT what it goes to on the EVC sorry for the outburst GTR-Ben - the reason to get that feed pre intercooler is so that the evc is not overworking the turbo, to get, lets say 10 psi, at the plenum the turbo has to work harder than if you measure to get 10 psi at the tip of the turbo housing, this is because the turbo has to work to pressurise the whole of the intake system before you start measuring at the plenum. The EVC IV has the inputs to read pre and post intercooler, as rb25 points out, this is port number 3 it then calculates the offset between the 2 and delivers the output required .... anyway, didn't get a chance to look for it at the weekend, and don't like the idea of looking for it after work, when the turbo is nice and hot, and its a bit dark ... guess it'll have to wait until this weekend when the wife has friends over ! and I already have the EVC IV manual pdf'd in case anyone wants it ... thanks anyway
  24. ok, so I know (i think) that the AFM gives an output of between 0 and 5 volts, 5 volts being at the max of its range ... looking at the stats from my consult port logging, I can see that the afm is VERY close to the 5v mark on quite a few occasions ... 4.90 being the top end so far - my injector pulse width being in the 15-17.5ms mark and a duty of between 60 and 85% so the question is this : What needs upgrading first fuel pump ? injectors ? afm ? any thoughts anyone ?
  25. they do this on the later model supras, aparently the exhaust manifold at No4 piston is very prone to overheating and cracking, so with the later models they added a little bonnet scoop to direct air over the exhaust manifold, and in turn the turbos ... if it works for the manufacturers, why not ....
