High Flowed Turbo Running Standard Boost

i had a little understatement earlier, hasnt been in my garage in a while and realise the turbo blades were caked in oil and there was oil coming from the centre housing. so far i have it down to turbo and cooler pipes. sparks plugs had a bit of carbon but no more then you'd expect from 8 months old plugs -

sorry for starting up an old one again but i just want to ask when putting the highflow on did you have to get the tune and suppoting mods straiight away? or can you just run it for as long as you want till you can afford supporting mods? -

yea i have a bit of saving to do. my car isnt even on the road yet as it shit itself before i could even get a roady for it which i think was my 3rd drive in it haha, i have got an offer of a second hand greddy ultimate already but not sure how long till i'll even be able to use it. i also need to get my manual license and do a conversion before i start winding it up like crazy. (only on my first year of green p's btw). thanks for the suggestions and help that's a thanks to everyone else on here as well btw -

well that escalated quckly -
the idle was shit but i dont think it'd be pistons or rings becuase i could hold the revs above 2,000 rpm and it would hold the revs smooth no bad sounds or anything. i will take the plugs out tonight and put up photos of everything tonight

considering getting a hypergear highflow on my turbo as i want something i can upgrade later on but still run standard boost and not break the bank on a nig turbo. just want to know if people have had experience with it. already been through the hypergear thread and called them about an hour ago. just want to hear other peoples opinions before i got ahead and do this. cheers

i will put up photos of the turbo and throttle body and intake pipes if anyones interested too see?
-
i think the smoke was caused by the turbo seal (just going with the general advice i've been getting). not saying your wrong by any means because im not really in a position to doubt anybody haha. comp test definately if it keeps smoking up im just really hoping it is the turbo
-
yea im pretty sure cold side cooler pipe wasnt fitted properly so when i was on the freeway it makes sense it would just blow off. so re-seal on the turbo and fit it together and see what happens
-
turbine was clean but i also didnt get the turbo off for a few days but just spinning it in my hand i had oil coming down the blades. and it looks pretty gumky but not litres at all. it didnt drip out of the pipes or anything. im gonna try get a new turbo first get that back together then do a comp test as im getting a bit lost with all the parts in my garage.
-
yea had the cooler pipe off for a while and cleaned it up when i did. but all through the cold side and into the throttle body there was a fair bit of oil so im hoping its the turbo, if it was seals the oil would be on the echaust side of the turbo and not through the intake? that make sense or am i just rambling like the rb noob i am?
-
also it was blue smoke pouring out the exhaust
