  1. Hi all, I have a set of 4 19" privat wheels off my "00 stagea rsfour. Has 3 roadworthy tyres, 1 tyre can be rotated as it is only scrubbed on the outside edge. Very light gutter rash on the wheels from previous owner. Inspections are welcome.   10. Im trying to keep it not looking turbo or intercooled at all where I can haha. Does painting the cooler make it cool less efficiently?
  11. Always been kind of worried about the front mounts as they'd have to be spot on to be stealth wouldn't they? How does it run the stock piping as well? I ended up goin with the high flow turbo now im just waiting on rego before I can take it to sone tuners and shops to have a proper look at everything before I go for power. exhaust will be getting done before the tune as well with some nice big mufflers.   12. Wow that was everything I wanted to know and more thanks, I'll speak to an exhaust shop soon about getting some big mufflers to go with an exhaust system. I already have a high flow turbo so that's one thing I dont need to worry about. Im going to speak to a few workshops/tuners soon to make sure everything is in working order before I try getting it on the dyno. All seems easily achievable, especially seeing as its tax time.   13. Thats a good idea, havent heard of that done before. Would there be any issues with the motor connected to the butterfly over heating seeing as its so much closer to the cats and manifold?

Yea I would've liked to have it clear but being a p-plater even just having it glossy the way it is will be enough for me to get in a little trouble so trying to keep it relatively low key, it also hides the intercooler pipes so it looks like it goes from the filter straight to the t/b. It's a very tight fit as well haha. Thanks
  15. Ok drove it to and from work, didn't get time on lunch to play around with the car but I got home and the shuddering has completely stopped. I guess it just needed a good drive haha
  16. Yea on the way to work today I put the ac on at the lights and revs picked up but the noise is still there. I'll bring the car in on lunch and play around with the lines and see what happens
  17. Sorry if its not what you meant by "what revs?" But idle is set to around 900, when I re installed the turbo I double and triple checked all the vacuum lines had somewhere to go but I broke one at yhe rear of the motor and super glued it back in place, possible cause? I know theres an empty place for a vacuum line onbthe block near the turbo but it seems to be one for a line off the manual boost controller which doesn't reach there. Other than that all lines are in place
  18. Really? I played around with the cable as I had to take it out and set it at about 900rpm. Is that too.low?
  19. Hi all, I recently replaced the turbo in my car with a high flow (no supporting mods yet) and have got the car running smooth on idle with no vad noises. Drove it out of my driveway and back in pretty much just to swap cars around and noticed as soon as the cars in drive at idle there is a shuddering that goes through the whole car, it doesnt try and lurch forward like it would with a wrecked converter tho, just shakes until I put it back into neutral or reverse. Anybody had this problem before? Any ideas appreciated, Cheers

  21. My turbo is a highflow and it cost $960 with a braided oil line and is good for 260kw

  23. I've heard you can be defected with the varex system, think it was a "hoon crackdown" thing.on a current affair haha. Is it still legak through the whole rev range? Or is it only to 3, 000 rpm that they test the db?
  24. Nah one run by an actuator controlled by the amount of exhaust gas going through so it opens under boost and closes at cruise. I like the idea of that apexi noise controller though
