  1. ^^^^^ typical cop mentality.
  2. Yeah, an uninformed opinion that costs poeple money. f**k you too.
  3. Yep, i understand what your saying in regard to the faulty sensor and the unit trying to rectify the minus 30, and i agree with you. Ill run the diagnostic tomorrow (first chance ive had), and let you know what came up. Probably in the afternoon. It'll be interesting anyway. Thanks for your help Adam. Shaun.
  4. I had a similar problem; i thought i'd never fit a 19 row oil cooler at the front, but after playing around a bit, it is possible. Not sure how your intercooler pipes are, but i had to cut mine and add a slight bend so that it went under to oil cooler core. No big deal. My intercooler is 100mm thick with 3 inch piping. Ive got the oil cooler, air horns and a 50mm bov in the inner guard now. The oil cooler is an Earls item, and i used the earls mounting kit with a custom bracket that i made. Shaun.
  5. f**kin pricks! So do cops have a calibrated ear now? How can they tell if an exhaust is 86db or 92db? Pisses you off.
  6. Thanks for the link. I had a read, and also searched other threads, but my car is a bit different because i dont have any air conditioning. I removed everything to do with air conditioning (in the engine bay) when i converted to a single turbo rb26. So i removed the compressor, condenser, all the lines and the bottle thing in front of the condenser. Nothing was removed from inside the car though. So im assuming that if i run the diagnostic test, it'll come up with errors everywhere. Also ive got an aftermarket computer (not sure if this matters). Obviously i dont care if i dont get cold air, i just want to stop the warm air all the time. Do you think i can still have a normally functioning heater/ ambient air system even though ive removed all the A/C stuff in the engine bay?? Thanks again, Shaun.
  7. Awesome. Thanks mate; will give it a go. Is my heating problem related to the missing/broken sensor at the front? How did you know how to do this? Have you got a manual or something? Shaun.
  8. Im a Paramedic. Four days on, then four days off. Over 70 grand/year. No boss looking over your shoulder. Good job if you can handle the shit you see every now and then. 14 hour night shifts suck, but at least i can surf mid week days!
  9. Cool, thanks. Ill have a look.
  10. Agreed; its like a birds nest of lines on the turbo side of the 26. This is what made the decision to go a single highmount turbo much easier for me. Unfortunately, all the lines are neccessary if you want to maintain twin low mounts in the standard position, and its a street driven car. I painted the hard water lines in a black exhaust paint, which made them disappear a bit, but it also makes them hard to maintain. My engine was also on a stand, so it was much easier to do. Shaun.
  11. Thanks for the reply. Ill see what happens when i recirculate the air in the cabin. Its just that the air feels really warm. Ive done a fair bit of modification at the front, so i must have unplugged it at some point. So is the small black plastic object attached to a structure at the front or something?? Any ideas what it looks like? Ive removed all the a/c stuff incl. the condensor. Shaun.
  12. Hi, Just wondering if anyone can help me out. I have a late 93 r32 gtst, and my heater seems to be on all the time. Its not blasting hot air at me or anything, but it just seems to be slowly coming out near my legs; even when the climate control is off. Also, the ambient temperature display is showing minus 30 degrees when the AMB button is pushed. Not sure if the problems are related. Anyone know how to fix these problems?? Thanks, Shaun.
  13. Yeah, i just put in some 55W 50% brighter globes (both high and low beams), and they seem really good. As for the 85W, ive had the car for 6 years and never had a problem with them. I never did much night driving though. Shaun.
  14. Cool, so the standard high beams are 55W. Ive never had a problem with the 85W high beams, but i'd rather not push it. I've heard that it can stuff the r32 projector lens.
  15. Gday, After searching this topic for ages, ive failed to find an answer to my question. Ive discovered that my R32 (1993 gtst with projectors) has H3 high beams and H1 low beams, but when i pulled the high beams out, they were 12V 85W. I thought that the standard globes were 12V 55W. Can anyone confirm what the standard globes are for the high beams?? Also, does it matter if i use higher than normal wattage globes? Clearly im a noob when it comes to electrical stuff like this; i just dont want to fry anything. R32 headlights have enough problems as is without me stuffing them up further. Thanks, Shaun.
  16. They didnt fit too bad, but required a bit of cutting the original Ford shroud. I had to turn them upside down (in order to fit) and reverse the direction of rotation because i placed them in front of the radiator, instead of behind it. Obviously the air conditioning is gone. I also spent alot of time sealing the fan shroud against the radiator. Actually, thinking back, it was a pretty big job but they work better than anything else i reckon. Shaun. In regards to the loud exhaust, everyone who knows anything has told me that you cant buy an 'off the shelf' exhaust that wont restrict anything over 250kw. Therefore, im getting mufflers custom made to suit. This is what many people have advised me to do. Im sick of setting off car alarms!
  17. Dont work out the exact dollars; it ruins the enjoyment!
  18. Yeah, thats similar to mine. The only thing though is the compression ratio. Mine is 9.0:1 and, i might be stating the obvious, but the higher the comp ratio, the more exhaust gas produced, hence, the harder it pushes the turbine. I might be placing too much emphasis on the comp ratio of mine, im not sure, but i was led to believe that my engine may have been spinning the turbine too hard at lower revs for the 0.82, and this was due to the higher than normal comp ratio. Let me know if you thing im misguided. Also, i dont really understand the dual scroll thing. Is this a turbine housing thats divided into two sections? Would this result in a significantly different outcome to mine? The other thing is the 6boost manifold. Mine is a GCG china one and, although its the best China one ive seen, i think the 6boost ones are awesome. I only saw one recently and was really impressed. Wish i got one now. You should be happy with your result. It would be really drivable. Ill get mine there eventually; let us all know how you go with the 1.06. Shaun.
  19. Who/where are they Paul? Are you suggesting an off the shelf one, or a custom thing. I just thought it would be a shame to sell the trust in case i want to drag or something. Also, they dont make them anymore. But i could use the money............ Shaun.
  20. That sounds heaps better than mine. I get about 3psi at 3000, lol. So how similar is it to mine? What compression, what manifold, what wastegate, etc. They reckon mine will make about 380kw at 22psi, but who cares, its all wheelspin anyway. Id rather a drivable 320kw than mine at present. Well done.
  21. Thanks Geoff, its certainly something ill look at later. To be honest, i cant see why the 0.82 didnt work well previously, however, i do have faith in my tuner. Theyve tuned some pretty serious cars, and have an in depth knowledge of all things Autronic. For now ill just drive it and enjoy it. Im sick of having the car on stands! I finally got the car registered today; no thanks to the RTA. It passed the engineers inspection, i got the Blue Slip done, went to the RTA to pay my rego (last week), and they said the computer has "randomly" selected your car to undergo another inspection at the RTA at West Gosford. Oh, and you also have the pleasure of paying for it! I was soooo pissed off. Anyway, that was last week. I had the inspection today and it passed no worries. I was treated like a criminal by the rta inspectors though; they showed me no respect what so ever. It was an awful experience. The lesson is: DONT TAKE YOUR CAR OUT OF REGO WHILE DOING MODIFICATIONS!! I did a few hundred k's in it today, and ill have to do something about the exhaust; its way too loud. It drones really badly. Its a 3.75 inch trust TR drag exhaust. Im not sure whether to modify it by putting an offset muffler in it (it only has one rear muffler), or buy a 3 inch kakimoto or something thats quieter. Any advice people?? Shaun.
  22. The compression is 9.0:1 To answer other questions, im running 17 psi at the moment. The boost controller is disconnected atm, and im just using wastegate spring pressure. Ive got a few more k's to do, then they'll turn the boost up to about 22 or something like that. Shaun.
  23. SOLD!...........................to yourself. LOL @ Days of our lives
  24. Whatever. Flamin Mongrel? Thats hurts man (not). It'll be interesting to see how long it takes to sell. Over $800 for CAS, fuel rail and injectors is crazy. Im sick of giving you free bumps.
  25. Aha! So you ARE willing to seperate parts! Lucky i asked! $2500 is a joke. There is a COMPLETE R33 GTR head (with turbos) listed on here by luvsit at the moment for $1680. Im pretty sure your name is Paul, or Peter or something like that. Not that i care.
